I can't download the update on ps4. Says preparing to download then says cannot download. Help!!!!!!!

I had to log out of my plus account, shut down my system and log back in to get an update once. For this one I had to restart and wait extra long for it to start. There are a ton of people getting it at the same time.

Is there room on the HDD? power off ps4 unplug and replug ps4 then try. If that works.
