Not hating or saying its op, but it clearly outshines its competition like lebron dunking on a kid in a wheel chair.
The gjally does more than twice the damage per rocket of other launchers.
Why would the designers allow this gun to be that much more powerful than others?

Because you don't have one, #REKT

2 RepliesIs it a sin to have one weapon better than the others? With the reward mechanics as they are, it would be a good idea for Bungie to make more weapons like Gjallarhorn. And most importantly, don't let Xur sell these top tier weapons.
-
The thing is, nerfing it now after what they did to SUROS and the Vex Mythoclast among other formerly top-tier guns, it would be a very bad move. And they know it. So it'll stay the way it is until the hype train slows down.

1 ReplyIts only powerful in terms of tracked rocket damage. If you dumb fire it at a target and it doesnt hit the target exactly, the damage drops off pretty quickly. Truth fixes this issue with aggressive tracking and proximity detonation, but does less damage. Dragons breath (nowhere near as good as the other two, but) fixes the lack of damage from dumb firing with increased ammo and solar grenade drop.
-
They tried to stop its power, but it just killed them and became even more powerful.
-
3 RepliesBecause if ghorn didn't have the wolf pack rounds it would be a way less useful truth, no one says anything about the fact that truths tracking ability is incredibly powerful, because in people's mind the fact that the weapon can track players around corners and surprise them around walls doesn't register as something that's powerful/OP because it doesn't do one trillion damage like ghorn.
-
4 RepliesDragon's Breath does more
-
It was made for boss killing. Best to utilize it in a raid. Same with IB, they were designed to cut down any boss.
-
Because it doesn't effect other players experience because who uses the ghorn in crucible?
-
2 RepliesWell you know a fully powered Dragonsbreath actually does way more than ghorn. One can take crota down if he stays still
-
ive told it not to but it will not listen...I blame the parants
-
2 RepliesYou don't even have it.

2 RepliesThat's not fair to LeBron. I'm sure the kid in the weelchair is just a naturally better athlete.
-
Because.
-
1 ReplyBecause -blam!-ing Gjallarhorn does whatever the -blam!- it wants.
-
7 RepliesIt's not that ghorn is "allowed" to do the damage, its that it's what's its suppose to do. Gjallahorn is a norse horn blown to end the world by the norse God Heimdall. So, in turn, Gjallahorn is to end enemies world as they know it; its one purpose is to destroy.
-
8 RepliesI think Bungie simply wanted there to be a "best gear in the game" aspect. A lot of games do it. Such as: Uncharted 3 - T-bolt sniper Skyrim - Dremora armor Quake - BFG (I don't know of anyone will know this game). Halo - Spartan laser See my point?
-
3 RepliesBecause it's average in pvp, let's all be honest, most, if not all, nerf and/or buffs made to the weapons in the game have been because of pvp...
-
Good simile. It clearly outshines like Steph Curry shooting on literally anybody in the world.
Forreal though, that quick release is just too much.
-
'Cause why not?
-
Because its the designers baby lol the guy spent 13 days designing how it looks lol.
-
1 ReplyIt's called "Wolf Pack rounds" noob.
