I'm done watching trailers that are intended to get me excited when bungie can't even deliver on time. I'm already hyped which is why this waiting is so frustrating

So you're saying you'd rather they release a patch which may have game-breaking bugs rather than giving them a little time to fix it? Then you'll have to wait more time for the patch to fix all the crap that broke because everyone needs this patch right meow.

No, I'm saying they should cool their hype machine until they know the game actually works. "Get excited, it's coming! Are you ready yet? It's almost here! Oh wait, it's not ready yet..." That is why I think most people are upset about this delay

How did they hype the patch? All I've seen hype for is HoW itself.

But it looks like they will be delivering on time. The hype is real and I can't wait to get my hands on those new weapons and then get to use them in Trials.
