changes aren't made to the game based on people whining. they have metrics behind the scenes and can tell when a certain gun or certain class of gun is doing significantly better than the others. That's when they make changes.

The problem with that is they would always be nerfing something as players will always gravitate towards whatever is best. Also what is wrong with something being best? In a game of variety and choices there will always be better guns. What I'm saying is that if the majority of people are okay with guns like Thorn and TLW, and all polls have shown that they are, then why change them at all? Anytime one of the whiners has bothered to add a poll into their cry for a Thorn nerf it has overwhelmingly showed that people want thorn left alone. People don't spend time ranting that they like something so you don't hear about the majority who like the guns just the way they are.
