From what I can tell and see, people are no longer using scout rifles in PvP. They say the nerfed them so they are weak. I went 32 and 3 with the visions of confluence yesterday. So what the hell are people talking about?

scouts, snipers, and rockets/MGs were the only things the last big update didn't touch at all iirc.
btw MIDA + Mk. 44s = OTP
-
My friend uses fang and does 2.0 kd when playing bad.
-
They aren't bad it's just that they are underwhelming. They can still kill People just fine its just that the current Meta is focused on fast killing guns. Red Death, Last Word, Thorn, Coiled Hiss, Praedyth's Timepeace are all extremely fast killing guns. Scout Rifles just don't kill as fast at every range. Plus the Optic zoom is to intense. I think they need a slight RoF or DMG buff to be competitive. MIDA is still a good option
-
Just started using saterienne rapier. I love it getting same results as thorn and hawkmoon. Maybe a slight buff is in order. The only thing at the moment that makes it better than the handcannons is the sight which makes it easier to aim.

Edited by felonious206: 5/14/2015 4:18:28 PMNo one nerfed scouts. Just ar, but with every one running with hand cannons you better off using pulse or pistols in my opinion.

not Scout. auto.
-
People cry shit when they can't use something. Hit heads and they are fine
-
Most people cry nerf just because they simply don't have a gun or don't know how to use it. People cry about shotguns when they run around corners with an auto rifle in their hand and expect to win that fight. Or they stay in sniper lanes and cry that final round one shot them. There are several very good guns for PvP and some of which arent too difficult to get. People need to find the guns that fit their playstyle best and keep enemies in that prime range of the gun they are using.

2 Replies"People" say a lot of crap. b-line still wrecks. Mida wrecks so what is the issue? Someone always seems to blame the equipment for operator error
-
2 RepliesThere was a nerf on scout rifles?

15 RepliesTime to kill so slow. Always have been trash.
-
Their best at mid-to long range which the majority of maps are not, it's time to kill is also long which is bad for shotgun rushers and hand canon users, and the delay between shots also make you easy target for shaky screens from guns with high calibre shots. I've had a couple good games with scout rifles butonly by playing it safe, it's not the gun you want when you're rushing checkpoints and skirmish just cause there's not enough ppl to catch off guard
-
1 ReplyMy Fang doesn't say the same.
-
2 RepliesMIDA is amazing. Especially on the bigger maps (there's like 2 smh) and against snipers
-
Different guns for different people
-
What you talking about? Mida absolutely wrecks.
-
Scouts are my go to pve weapon. But in crucible, I have found in general, hand cannons, pulse rifles, auto rifles, shot guns, and snipers all work better. Not to say scouts are bad, i just kill pvpers faster with almost every other class
-
I only use them in the mid-long range maps and whenever combined arms comes around. I love my New Monarchy scout rifle with firefly and every time I damage an enemy my stability gets better.
-
1 ReplySR's weren't even touched by an update. The last weapon tuning that took place said that they were functioning as intended (if I remember right). SR's will still do work, just not at close range (even then they're still not awful).
-
They are tactical weapons, and pretty good when used from a far distance. Most people use handcannons and shotguns though. Bungie nerfed them so people would use other weapons......
-
They didn't nerf them, there's just plenty of stronger options at the moment that people use instead. *cough* exotic hand cannons *cough*
-
Most scouts are 3-5 hit kill with a headshot seems pretty good to me
-
I don't think they've ever been buffed or nerfed. If they have it wasn't anything noticeable
