Exotic Armor Ideas
Hey guys, I've been thinking about how Exotic armor is somewhat overlooked in game. Xur shows up and all everyone cares about is what guns he has. Let's have some fun and try to create some of our own Exotic armor! One rule: keep it balanced, no
Exotics that would be crazy OP.
I'll start:
Icarus Wings (Exotic Warlock Boots)

Exotic Perk: Wings of Flame
Increases the duration of Angel of Light.

Exotic Perk: The Mechanism (blink has no cooldown, you can now blink through objects, and gain a significant speed buff). Aesthetics: the gauntlets are plating colored black with goldish-bronze swirls. Above the plating is what almost looks like an arm from an exo-suit colored titanium with light blue glowing stripes going down the parts of the arm. If you're an Exo, the plating is removed and you can see your arm with the exo-suit arm.

Exotic Ability: (Applies to Voidwalker sub-class only as it would be way to OP for Sunsinger) Killing and enemy with a grenade instantly regenerates another grenade. Titan Gauntlets Name: Shocking Fate Design: Metallic metal gauntlets with multiple sharp edges with thick cables that have electricity running along them. (The exotic perks are in the same column so you have to choose one or the other) When equipped the ability shockwave is locked in as the fist of havoc perk, as in you can only use shockwave. Exotic Ability 1: Shockwave travels slower with a significantly wider range. Exotic Ability 2: Shockwave is much thinner with more range and leaves a damage dealing wake that slows enemies damaged by it. Hunter Gauntlets Name: Sleeveless Tricks Design: Chain Mail sleeves Exotic Perk: After missing one throwing knife your next throwing knife deals 3X damage. Hunter Boots Name: Realm Hopper Design: The boots could be any design really preferably something vex. But the armor piece would have an effect on it so it would look glitchy and kind of flicker, as if it was going in and out of existence. (The exotic perks are in the same column so you have to choose one or the other) Exotic Perk 1: You can now use both Blink jumps consecutively while in the air. Exotic Perk 2: When hitting an enemy with blink strike you pass through them keeping your momentum.

One additional random throwing knife will do 3x damage output Cayde's Eye (Helmet) Perk 1: It's all in the head Precision head shots with hand cannons increase damage output stacks up to 3x Special Perk: Cayde's Fury Precision head shots with hand cannons increasingly charges your special, stacks up to 3x. Behind Enemy Lines (Armor) Perk 1: Defensive Mechanism increases duration of invisibility, auto-defense is activated upon melee granting immediate invisibility. Special Perk: Now You See Me.... Blinding effect activated with blade dancer blinding enemies within striking range.

Change it to where it applies the Angel of Light perk and gives you a damage buff when using it.

It would be better if they gave you angel of light and increased lateral movement during it

Increases the duration of Blessing of Light. Assassin's Blade Hunter Gauntlets Rain Blows Inverse Shadow Assassin's Blade - Gives your Throwing Knife the Knife Juggler and Gambler's Dagger perks. Gives your Blink Strike the Backstab perk.

3 RepliesGround shakers Titan boots Defender subclass specific "Territory, [i]set[/i]." Carry more ammo for heavy weapons When placed, ward of dawn creates a 10 meter earthquake around its edges for the duration of the ward. (Territorial) This earthquake would hit for 20 damage and tick as often as thorn burn. It goes away simply by stepping off of it. Can be jumped over into the bubble. Doesn't harm user. The quake would cause void damage and look as if the ground was seeping with void light halfway to the top of the bubble, making it more visible. Basically a buffer for anybody who dares try and attack my fortress.

How about this as an idea, exotic armour is a cosmetic and you just have whatever armour has the best stats, like world of Warcraft

Class: warlock (sunsinger) Slot: chest Name: Lightbringer's Curse Description: THE LIGHT... IT BURNS ME... I MUST SPREAD ITS HOLY GIFT... Appearance: A darkly colored robe that is on fire. Every so often, the flames briefely engulf the wearer's body Exotic Perk: Holy Gift - Activating radiance ignites you, countinuely damaging you, but the flames erupting from you deal massive damage to enemies. Flames bring the user down to a quarter health, then heals the user for the damage dealt by the flames every 5 seconds. Can kill you.
