You can already see plenty of devs dropping it. Battlefront and Halo 5 are next gen only for example.

Yes, that's true. But you have to remember that they are still businessmen, they see how the times are changing, but until 2016 you won't see anyone stop supplying a whole demographic until they are definitely sure that they have a large enough group on the new gen consoles.
