Someone asked in the destiny forum, "what color of gamer are you." Then listed a bunch of colors, and wrote a paragraph for each describing what they mean, blah blah blah
I thought, from the title, that the post was about skin color, until I read it obviously. So I make a joke saying something like "at first I thought this post was about skin color, but then I remembered that black people don't play this game."
I had someone comeback saying "why is it only bad kids play games are racist." Note the grammar... Yeah...
Now I just want to see how many think this is racist. If it is, I'll have to change my vocabulary up a bit...I myself haven't ever had the opportunity to play with a black guy or girl.

Blacks not really racist it's just a term used to define a certain group of people. If you are saying "black people play basketball" however true or not true that is, it is still racist. So just be careful how you word things in my opinion
-
I just say African American or dont specify race at all by just saying people/person
-
No it's fine. What is racist though is the term "African American". Apparently all people from Africa are black according to that. Don't tell the South Africans that.
-
-
It's not. It's just biased media that has made people overly sensitive and careful.
-
4 RepliesIt seems like Saiyan "white people" is racist because I'm black but Saiyan "black people" is completely fine.
-
Well when I was younger I would always say " I'm brown!" And then I got lazy It really depends on how it's said

-
It's not

Calling somebody by their skin color in general is a little devaluing to people If somebody were to ask what skin color is specifically I'd say black, but just referring to a random person as 'that Asian over there' or 'some black guy' can be taken the wrong way
-
Is the term "white people" racist? No then Saying black people isn't either.
-
Not racist...
-
I prefer not to be called a white person
I'm human for shitsake
5 RepliesI called a Mexican ... A Mexican . Then proceeded to call me racist

1 ReplyI simply don't talk to black people, I then can't get accused of being racist...
-
1 ReplyI see no problem if trying to describe a person but if I was speaking about a guy in the general vicinity or someone I knew then no

5 RepliesEdited by Tempest26: 5/13/2015 5:59:50 PMNo they are black! Saying Black people isn't anymore racist than saying white people which we all tend to do everyday. I don't understand why the consider themselves African American .... They don't come from Africa .... Just like we don't go around calling ourselves British Americans ..... We are all Americans, some different colors! That's the way God made us .... Asians don't go around saying we are yellow american, nor do Hispanics say we are brown Americans .... It's stupid. Racism exists because you allow it to offend you still. Don't get me wrong there are still ignorant backwater Americans who are racist .... But calling someone black doesn't make you a racist.

1 ReplyEdited by Falka: 5/13/2015 2:07:09 PMOnly if the white man is saying it
-
Depends on context, really. It'd be like saying "white people" isn't racist. Saying "white people are all shit at sports" is.
-
4 RepliesNot usually. It is just a way to describe people. It can be used for any race. White, black, asian, etc.
-
1 ReplySure why not, everything else is
-
Seriously how many true blooded and real African Americans do we have anymore? Also it is just simpler to go by color so sorry if that offends you but going by simple optical looks is a pretty easy describer, and you don't hear white people complaining about being called white.

Nope because it's acceptable in other languages
