Damaged disc, my pig has terrible timing.

So heres a strange one. While I was playing Destiny a few days ago, my pet pig knocked my Xbox360 over. I heard a really nasty grinding noise, but didnt think too much of it since the game was still running. When i tried to log in last night, the game would not load at all. Didnt even make it to the title screen. My question is, Is there a way to download the game as if i had installed it to my hard drive? I foolishly never installed it because my stepson downloads a bunnch of stuff, and i didnt feel like figuring out what to delete. PLEEEAASSEEE help me. I've really been looking forward to HoW, and its the only game i play.

If the cause is a damaged disk, then there is no way for you to currently install onto the HDD with that disk. Besides, even if you did install to HDD from disk, you'd need the disk as the "key" to play the game; installing disk games into the HDD just makes them run faster. Your options are limited to replacing your disk. Luckily all your account data is safe in Bungie's servers. You could get a used disk relatively cheap and be back in the Tower just as before.

  • Sorry even installed on the hard drive you still need the disc for verification that you have bought the game. All you can do is get another copy ( try getting a cheap secondhand copy) or uninstalling the game and buying a online copy which has no disc copyright checks built in.
