Honest oppinion on multiple exotics? Keep or shard?
I tell myself all the time... I cant wait to get to get a double up of an exotic weapon so i can shard it and put that shard to good use
But everytime i get a double up and even a tripple up ( gally, suros, mida multi tool, vex )
I just keep them and cant bring myself to dismantle them
Do i just equip one to every character?
Do i just dismantle all bar 1?
Do i keep 2 one for a character and vault the second for collective purposes
I just.... Dont know haha its actually frustrating
One thing ive noticed is everyone seems to keep multiple gjallarhorns and multiple icebreakers
Does anyone else think theres 22-25 exotics in game and we all rely on 2-3 mainly

Shard nonessential exotics such as Dragons Breath or No Land Beyond, but keep duplicates of essential exotics sub as Suros Regime, Vex Mythoclast, Ice Breaker, and Gjallerhorn

For some I keep them: ice breaker and gjallarhorn for example For guns that are more situational or just used for fun, one is enough.

I'll scrap a duplicate. I don't find it to hard to switch between characters. And I usually only play 1 anyway

I have just recently started raiding and getting exotics a little more often than before. I always find myself needing a shard or two so the duplicates I get are broken down.

Keep one per character if you use the weapon.

Personal opinion I would keep 2 of each becasue at some point your going to have to upgrade the exotics themselves you are gonna need the shards

There are certain weapons I consider "staples." Yes, I have the app and can switch weapons easily but there's something better about just having certain weapons all the time. Each of my characters has one of the following: Vex, Fatebringer, VOC IB, P&T, BH Gally, Tlord, CM, HoC That's 10 items x three, that's a lot to ascend. I don't think I will be ascending all of them for a bit if Etheric Light (non-exotic obviously) is as scarce as I think it will be but I will not be sharding/dismantling anything anytime soon. If this game as taught me anything is it's a marathon and not a race. Within a month or three, I will probably be stocking up on e-light for Comet.

Exotics that I use in raids (Gjallie, SGA, Ice breaker, Thunderlord) I keep multiples of. All other doubles I've sharded. The duplicates are kept so I don't have to keep swapping between characters when we doing raids. Swapping a nuisance.

Only keep good ones. You be the judge of what "good" is. Generally the ones you find yourself using the most so you can have one for each character but anything more than three is a shard

Really the only weapons I want multiple of are HoC, Fatebrobger, and Icebreaker. That is my go to loadout. I WOULD say a gjallarhorn but I don't even have one so how am I supposed to get 3?

Legendary weapons: FateBringer, Vision of Confluence, BlackHammer, Hunger of Crota, Word of Crota, Found Verdict. Those are weapons I keep on each Guardian.

Shard duplicates. I have an extra bad juju because it's my number one exotic, just in case the app decides to eat it. Other than that, nahhh.

Well if you have the app swapping is a snap so you only need one and I think maxing out the same Wep over again is a drag however I know a guy who is keeping multiple rare exotics such as gally and vex on the off chance they ever start some form of trade

I keep good duplicates (Icebreaker, Thunderlord for example) but shard most others. Only got 1 gally.

Depends... I have 3 Suros, back when it was OG. So worth it. Now, not anymore. It all depends in the weapon. I have 3 Black Hammers and 3 Hunger of Crotas. Very useful guns. I have 2 Fatebringers. I HAD 4 Vex, decided I only use 1 anyways.

I shard the duplicates and just share weapons between characters.

The only exotic I keep several of is the Icebreaker so all my guardians have an infinite ammo sniper, all other exotic duplicates I always shard.

Since the the companion app lets you manage your items, I say shard them.

I have three maxed ghorns, 2 TLW and 2 MIDA's but those are the only doubles I'll carry since they're favorite and well uhhh JELLYYYYHORRRRRRN

I only keep 3 gallys just so I don't have to transfer them every time I change weapons

Pretty much pointless since you can switch between characters from the app.

I'd suggest keeping multiples of useful weapons like Gjallarhorn or Ice Breaker, but destroying multiples of weapons that are just mediocre like Hard Light
