Honest oppinion on multiple exotics? Keep or shard?
I tell myself all the time... I cant wait to get to get a double up of an exotic weapon so i can shard it and put that shard to good use
But everytime i get a double up and even a tripple up ( gally, suros, mida multi tool, vex )
I just keep them and cant bring myself to dismantle them
Do i just equip one to every character?
Do i just dismantle all bar 1?
Do i keep 2 one for a character and vault the second for collective purposes
I just.... Dont know haha its actually frustrating
One thing ive noticed is everyone seems to keep multiple gjallarhorns and multiple icebreakers
Does anyone else think theres 22-25 exotics in game and we all rely on 2-3 mainly

I would only keep multiples of those you use often and find yourself moving around a lot. If you don't use them then I'd just keep one to fugger around with when you're bored

Only duplicates should be Gjallarhorn and icebreaker for all 3 characters, cause they're used so frequently I bet they're switched more than any other weapon

3 truths, 3 ice breakers, 3 thunderlords. For the rest, 1 of each is enough. Of course no gally for me yet, but would definetely keep 3 of them too...

I keep multiples of exotics that I know I will use frequently, to avoid switching them over to each character.

Personally I shard extra exotics. Except for IB i have 3 of those!! But it depends which one you use.

I kept them all but then comes a point when you just can't and don't need to. I kept 3 vex 3 ghorns and 3 icebreakers other than those for the most part Id scrap em

Only thing(s) I have 3 of are the icebreaker, black hammer and ghorn...other than that I don't have multiples.

Edited by TheLastWerewolf: 5/14/2015 6:02:59 PMThere are only a few exotics worth keeping multiples of IMO, personally I have 3 Icebreakers, one per character because I got tired of switching via the Vault all the time and it's almost always useful. The other I have 2 of and would keep a 3rd if it drops is Gjallahorn, as it is ever useful and worth it's slot in my heavy category 10 fold. I have 2 Suros & I could see Red Death being worth multiple ownership for their health perks, but much less so than the first 2 I mentioned.

Not for most. I made an exception for a icebreaker because it's so versatile. Switching via apps makes it mostly unnecessary. Remember: before dismantling exotic [b]weapons[/b], [i]unlock but do not invest in[/i] the last skill tree. When you dismantle, you'll get 2 exotic shards.

I look it as what am I going to use all the time, i.e. Fatebringer/WoC X3 Ice Breaker X3 Hunger of Crota- (no Gally :( ) only have 2 fang Kept 2 VoC Kept 2 Vex X3 Light of Abyss Kept 2 Sword Breaker Kept 2 Corrective Measure Kept 2 Guns that I use all the time I keep one on each toon. I use the app to swap around stuff from time to time and recently went through a huge purge of weapons to free up space but I try and keep a weapon with a different burn in each slot, (FB, WoC, Vex)(Sword Breaker, IB, Found Verdict)(HoC, Truth, and I have a couple vendor Arc Rockets) on each toon so that I have something ready for Nightfalls and any type of shielded enemy I can take the shield out fast then switch to other weapon and destroy them. I have recently started rotating my stock around when doing nightfalls/patrols/ROC strikes now that i've focused on leveling everything up but raids I usually go with what works best for each one.

With all the apps on phone and chrome to make load outs and organize stuff I now keep no duplicates. No reason to. I move stuff in seconds via Tower Ghost.

If you use them heavily then I would keep the extras and just leave them on the other characters. For myself I would keep multiples of mida, vex, and likely ghorn as well if I had any. For most others I would rather have the shards.

Setting up for a raid and going to play on a different character after playing some crucible, but have already run that raid on the character you are currently playing? You're ready to go. See a post in the recruitment section specifically asking for a certain class for a raid. You're ready to go. Running back to back raids with a group and your fireteam members are flying to the tower to swap weapons and gear. Go have a 5 minute break. You're ready to go. Lol. You get the idea....

I kept 3 gally 3 icebreaker along with 3 black hammer 3 hunger of crota. Just so i have less to switch over.

None of my ghallarhorns are getting sharded however I usually get rid of dupes

I have 3 ice breakers, three vex and 3 TL. But that's all my dupes.

Have multiples of lots and singles of others. Depends how useful they are to me.

I shard multiples. I'd rather share my exotics between my characters then bother trying to upgrade more then one of the same gun.

I keep multiples of the ones I use the most and shard the extras that I rarely use.

I regret keeping 3 ice and 3 ghally. I got rid of one ice now. I end up going to the value anyways as need arc or a shotgun so ya - I can't bring myself to delete the ones I maxed out now BUT I might instead of levelling up again etc and again and again for 10 years.
