How about events inside Crucible?
Hearing that Hive Tombship scrape into the Rusted Lands for the millionth time - and still twitching towards it like a dumb-ass - I got to thinking about what it would be like if that actually dropped some troops right into the middle of the Crucible.
It would have to be something fairly monstrous, Crota himself, to survive all those Guardians for more than a few moments - but what splendid chaos that would be. Would you turn your guns on Crota for some goodies? Would you stab your competitors in the back? Make good on the distraction and go nab Point C?
Would that be interesting?

Would have to be it's own playlist because of balance issues and disruption of game flow. Could be a novelty playlist people could go into with low expectations for winning or losing

You'd be able to use the NPC to your advantage. Perhaps whoever lands the killing blow on him would get a relic sword that would last the duration of say arc blade or GG. Something to add a little variety and fun! So many ideas could go into something like this, it amazes me that they don't think of these types of things from the beginning.
