I just broke up with my girlfriend.
So, title says most of it. We'd been dating a little under a year, she was with me for a trip to Canada, waited for me in Basic, Tech School, and we broke up today because I couldn't give her what she needed from a relationship. It was mutual, we sat down and talked it out, and we found that she wanted more out of it than me, but she didn't want to lose me. It ended with a joke and a laugh, so I can't complain. But I am actually very upset it had to happen.
So, please, Flood, mock me. Mock me mercilessly. Ravage my nubile and fragile self-esteem.

Relationships are always cruel when they end. Everything seems to move slower, and you catch yourself looking at your phone with baited breath. But the world? The world just zooms by, giving you and your problems the bird. It's up to you to pick up your head, fight back and ultimately move on, with all you've got. Hope you start to feel better soon.
