Edit: for clarification the screenshot is from the PC version.
Edit: You're all a bunch of hypocrites.. You say it's okay when The Witcher downgrades but when Watch Dogs does it.. OHHH NOEZZ

Witcher 3 looks pretty damn good on consoles. Watchdogs' downgrade was more severe, and across the board even on PC, compared to its initial early gameplay trailer. There's no comparison
-
On PC, Idk, it may be someone on lower graphics. I wouldn't know though.

Edited by Merdok: 5/11/2015 8:27:47 PMIt's still going to be one of the best looking games this year. If not the best. Shrekt.

1 ReplyI grew up playing 8 bit games. I chuckle every time I see one of these downgraded graphics post
-
11 RepliesIt's barley Even noticeable graphics aren't everything In a game you know so why is everybody making a big deal about it ?
-
"Next gen" consoles are run with years old hardware so pc is always better, and your fault if it looks shitty
-
People the xb1 and ps4 are not as good as a good PC they have to make cuts somewhere to support those consoles );
-
1 ReplySurprise surprise That's pretty much every next-gen game..

Edited by brandorobot: 5/11/2015 5:09:45 PMI honestly wouldn't have noticed if someone didn't take time to point it out.

The lighting is different, and there are day and night mechanics
-
6 RepliesDon't care. I'll take gameplay over graphics. It will still look good on all platforms.

5 RepliesOf course they were. That super high quality stuff shown initially was a vertical slice; smoke and mirrors. Nothing more. It was what they were aiming for. You can't show off footage of something that didn't exist at the time. That's how software works. And creating a full game with the super high quality assets shown initially isn't feasible, you know, because they need the resources to develop the actual full game instead of blowing everything on small segments just so it's extremely good looking.
-
5 RepliesHave you ever thought that maybe the 2nd screen is not on max settings? I've yet to see any confirmation of any gameplay that even slightly indicates one with max settings.
-
Oh look, another whiner.
-
"Textures are meh" "Edges look horrible" And here I am remembering the days when video game graphics looked like this^
-
The game looks gorgeous though, there's tons of PC gameplay out there.

6 RepliesThis is fun. Lets do a breakdown. We could agree for the sake of argument that a game is comprised of 4 parts 1) graphics 2) game play 3) story 4) Content Now, obviously the perfect game would be a 10/10 in each category. Quite the feat. Lets consider Destiny for example. 1) Beautiful 2) Well designed shooter. Fun. 3) .......... 4) ......... So, clearly it is a little greedy to demand all 4. So, we should organize our priorities and wonder what is most important. As an investment, game play, story and content seem to have more value than visuals which will be appreciated for the first few hours of gameplay and then quickly go un noticed. Its how the human mind works - adapts quickly, especially to visual environments. Walk into a dark room and soon your eyes adapt and you can see better. So. Post your witcher 3 graphic threads. Really dont see the issue except the order of your priorities. Are graphics really that important? And even so the graphics still seem above par.

Who cares about uber graphics? As long as it has an epic story, awesome game mechanics and decent graphics I'll be happy. Devs seem to be putting to much effort into how their game looks with the result that everything else sucks (*coughs, Destiny, coughs*). Right, rant over, back to my tea and cornflakes...

It could just be the lighting. and graphics isn't everything, If the game plays well with good frame rate i'd prefer that over slightly better visuals

1 Replywho was expecting PC graphics on a console anyway? Hell i'd be suprised if the trees moved in the wind on console. EXPECTING it to look just like DAI just with different gameplay
