Matter can't be destroyed or created but can change because of this I always though the Big Bang as a reset switch.
Matter returns to base form eventually turns into different atoms.
different atoms turn into different chemicals.
Chemical reactions result in different organic and inorganic Creations.
(Suns,planets and on some planets simple life)
Simple life such as a early mitochondria like single cell bacteria accidentally starts commensalism with another single cell bacteria.
This results in the first multi-cell bacteria.
Multiplies and some pack together forming what you could say is similar to a man o'war.
From this evolution would slowly start random trial and error that starts to get more precise resulting into what we have now.
However this is just My thought on the matter.
All hail the mighty mitochondria the true powerhouse of all cells in our body.

If it gives the animal a survival advantage, it'd beneficial. If is doesn't, its not. If its neither, it can still get passed on by shear chance.

Britton quick question. could you think of morals as a more advanced version of instinct given that most animals only kill out of survival necessity?

Basically. What's "right" and "wrong" is something animals have to have a basic concept of. If something attacks a mothers young, that's bad, so the mother acts accordingly. Our higher cognitive ability means that right and wrong for us is simply a matter of our increased intellectual perception.
