  • I'd like to start by saying that MAG was a completely different game and concept. Many of the calculations were handled serverside (they bragged about that a lot), and Destiny doesn't even have dedicated servers. Moreover, the amount of data that a player takes up is likely a completely different amount on Destiny. Comparing the two is unfair and unrealistic. Anyways, 12 players? That's easy. We see that in crucible all the time. The problem is 12 players, enough enemies to give a problem for those 12 players (double the VoG enemy count, most likely, which causes audio to drop out due to the number of enemies), the AI for all of those enemies, and then tracking for all projectiles and items. Do I want something like this to happen? Yes. I do. Do I think it can? Possibly not on current gen, and definitely not on prev gen.
