Fastest way to upgrade husk of the pit?

"We've woken the hive!" A.k.a The dark beyond (first moon mission) Get to the part mentioned above, kill everything but the yellow health knight. Die. Do it again :) Use a Black Wax Idol for that extra glimmer!

Fastest I've seen is to use the first mission on the moon. When all the hive run out, let the last one kill you and run it again.

Patrol the moon and run through the temple of Crota and come out at the hell mouth

I just did explore on the moon and kept going in the hive entrance guarded by the two nights. Once inside just kill all the hive and find the exit and just keep going back to that entrance. All the hive will have respawned by the time you get back.
