Peoples snow flake syndrome has to stop.
This game has way to many people complaining about people purchasing weapons from xur I have gotten most of my exotics from the VOG chest and crota. If people really want to feel that special another game is needed for you, there are a finite number of exotics so sooner or later everyone's going to have everything.

For sure, getting an exotic from the first chest on VOG isn't necessarily earning it. People that run the nightfall three times and got the necessary strange coins probably grinded more for it than the 5 minutes it might take to form the spire.

11 RepliesI think a lot of Destiny's player base are refugees from Halo/COD and simply don't understand basic RPG/MMO theology. They get something they think is "unique" and literally feel as if it's a friggin one-off [i]Recon+[/i] or something, then feel betrayed when it goes mass public so they lash out with nonsensical "you didn't earn it" bs. Logging in is all that is required to earn anything. Buying your item with currency earned through hours of solo play requires far more effort than a lucky drop thrown in your lap that couldn't have been possible without the aid and effort of others. People who aren't old enough to work can't voice opinions about what "earning" is lol To say that's "earning it" is absolutely preposterous.

2 RepliesBut I earned my Ice Breaker, Red Death, and HoPF. I killed the dreg and goblin, and let me tell you about the effort it took. It is a good thing they were stationery. If they were moving it would have had to get ugly. But I earned them, and didn't have to get hand outs from Xur, and you can't say I didn't. [spoiler]please follow the sarcasm[/spoiler]

Xur sped up that process 1000% Xur should have never been made. Telemetries should have been sold by the Gunsmith. Sparrow upgrades from Shipwright. And everything else either Eva or Speaker. Would have given the vendors they placed a reason to be.

Xur's inventory should be a different color, like black and white versions of the normal exotics. Maybe it would keep some level of 'uniqueness' of random drops to purchased.

Hoping in the future release we will have the ability to forge our own Legendary / Exotic where you have to do bounties (most likely RNG) to gain ability to choose some of your perks

By now every single exotic weapon has been sold by xur except for bounties bla bla. Before I saw the issue but by now there's no point to holding onto the snowflake mentality.

If there was more character customization I don't think this would be as prevalent.
