How about we just have optional match making and then ppl can make the choice?
Simple solves all problems. No one can bitch and complain as it is OPTIONAL!

And what happens when a bunch of randoms try to do a raid for the first time and can't even open the door to the Vault after an hour because no one is talking, no one has ever done it before, and no one has decent gear? That negative experience would keep them from ever doing it.

Then they fail. How has this negatively impacted your experience with the game at all? This community aversion to mm seems to be rooted in their fear of a newer players learning curve. If you're that absolutely horrified at the prospect of a newer player not knowing what to do, then you don't need to use matchmaking. But the option should still be there for the 81% of players who have never even touched a raid.

I think that is what Rybal is getting at. We all were raid noobs and not everyone who is of a higher level wants to raid with a noob. The problem is that once we hit said level with we could care less about bringing up the community and only care about ourselves, forgetting the fact we were once in their shoes. I am fortunate enough to know Rybal and he is as valuable and as knowledgeable more than he speaks. I enjoy playing with raid noobs and I enjoy bringing up the community because it makes the game better, as a whole. This is by no means a personal attack but to be able to have match making in certain situations is a necessity because not everyone wants to be around a noob and feels like they have to answer 50 questions to someone that they'll go out of their way to avoid "next time". The clan that I am in and actively involved with almost specializes in that, teaching. We also enjoy looking for and taking noobs to "the next level" with the understanding that they too will do the same. Not everyone does or will do that, at all. Matchmaking would be almost pivotal to doing that, in certain aspects. There are great players out there that don't know how to "help out" properly and I think that would help put an olive branch out there.
