halo 3 recon...flood?

Well, for one, the flood wouldn't go with the ODSTs more tactical-natured gameplay. On the other hand, the flood DID show up in Voi, so if the game lasts until Floodgate, then we will almost certantly see them make an appearance.

bungie is really smart because no one is ganna buy halo wars so there making recon even though bungies not making halo wars there still smart

I think its safe to say we have all had bad times with the flood, in halo 2 the sacred icon level that was almost inpossible to get past on the first try or so halo 3s level cortana can be difficult and we cant forget halo ce the library so many bad halo expierences i dont wana have anymore

ODST's are Marines, so not exactly the same branch as the Chief, but it's still the UNSC. There are things that you probably won't be able to do this time around though, like the whole turret ripping thing, and perhaps you won't be able to jump as high. Melee attacks might not be as powerful either, but without a shield, you shouldn't be getting that close anyway.

You could end up having to rescue other groups of people (survivors, other soldiers, downed Pelican, etc.) during this fight, and that would be exactly the sort of mission for an ODST.
