Before i start i'd like to say that this exotic free game mode has the potential to save hawkmoon, thorn and last word from any potential changes or nerfs in the future seeing how they are the primary offenders in this crucible weapon stagnation. I don't dislike these weapons in fact i actually adore them, but it just gets old. Also imagine the strong competitive environment that this could foster within the crucible leading to more diverse matches with interesting loadouts and teamwork. Let see just how many people bring up call of duty or saying " your taking away what makes the game unique." No i'm not, you can still play normally just choose the normal playlist, Secondly the game is unique because it is an MMOFPS. Meaning adding more content such as this would further establish it's title as unique intead of the simple Point A to Point B shoot em up game that it is now.It takes more than a loot system to create a strong foundation for this game and adding a variety of different fun game modes could be the start of that. I love this game and anyone who wants it to stay the way it is now instead of opening your mind to new ideas to help it evolve into something breath takingly great is only trying to doom it to failure. So get your facts straight. Okay so seriously, for all those people out there who tired of being killed by or seeing a certain exotic weapon in the crucible well here you go. Let's face it. PvP has become nothing but a showcase of the same weapons constantly much to the dismay of some. There is no variety in the weapons used and we are at a point where a lot of people out there are sick to death of it. I personally DON'T think there are any problems with the exotic weapons out there, but i damn sure am sick to death of going into EVERY match only to deal with that guy sitting across the map with thorn. It is a very powerful weapon but by NO means is it overpowered, it is EASILY COUNTERED but the main fact is that it is simply annoying. Keep in mind that i am not asking for any nerfs, have stated that i do not believe anything is overpowered or have any trouble adapting and retaliating to these weapon users on the battlefield. All i want is some variety. Even though i say that this post will bring in more elitist morons who just state something that i have already deemed not negative in this post. Just watch. It seems as though the use of exotic hand canons has been on the rise for a while. Add in red death and vex mythoclast and that pretty much sums up the only weapons you'll ever see in pvp. A simple solution to this would be to add in a crucible game variant that forbids the use of exotics within it. Not only would this appease those who are sick of seeing the same 5 weapons every crucible match but it would add a whole new layer of variety, fun, and a sense of refreshment to the crucible. People would discover new ways that certain perks on different guns could escalate their gameplay, you'd have more fun in firefights rather than those that are determined by who can get their lucky bullet faster or hoping that the burn damage from your last shot will kill your target. This game mode could stand alongside the normal crucible gamemodes so people have the option to choose whether or not they want to go use their mythoclast in clash or go use that legendary that just dropped for them without being at a disadvantage. Now of course there are going to be those people who even though they aren't losing out on anything still complain about having a no exotic game mode. So for those people i know you won't try to understand and i'm fine with that. There is nothing lost by adding this, YOU CAN STILL PLAY CRUCIBLE NORMALLY IF YOU WANT. There are also going to be those people who like the idea of other players not being able to use exotics but are mad that they won't be able to. For you guys you can't have everything. In conclusion for those TO LONG DIDN'T READ people out there. New game mode. No exotics. If you are salty then you have no need to be because you can still play normal crucible. Fun. More people play PvP. More competetive environment. The end.
