I didn't have the same experience at all.
I did just fine with Three Little Words, Invective, and even the Stranger's Rifle.
I even equipped the Mida Multi-tool and just ran around punching and shoulder charging people to death.
Sure, there were a LOT of Thorns, TLWs, and Red Deaths. But I actually had a good time being successful with something different.

That's crazy talk!!! You mean we're supposed to believe you adapted???? I call shenanigans!! No one adapts, the proper response was to get on the message boards and cry NERF!!! over and over until bungie fücks up more weapons. But seriously, good job on adapting :)
