Great update!! Still a little confused with the new achievements, are the skulls on the multiplayer maps? It will be interesting to find out more. I really hope I won't have to stare at those achievements in angst for a whole year!!!

I am really glad that Halo 3 Recon will be campaign only, and that there will be Halo 3 (over all) maps coming with that. Clears a bit up for me.

The team knows how hard that is going to be to pull off awesomely right ? Very best of Luck. It has a chance to be super awesome, and a chance to make Bungie look silly too. Just saying... Pressure is on. This is when I'm glad to just be a fan.

I would enjoy it if the game was made to EARN the M rating. Make it as violent and realistic as possible.

Actually, if the H3R price is decent, I might wait to get the Mythic Map Pack included with that since it might be a better deal than the 20-something dollars I pay for the ythic Map Pack alone. I would say the price would be around $50. Good job! I really love Bungie and keep it up!

It will also include a new map pack that is yet to be released on the marketplace.

Great update. Maybe now people will stop asking for all these crazy things they want in the H3R Multiplayer even though it doesn't exist. Its just the Halo 3 multiplayer.

That's kind of odd, I've been working on making a wallpaper out of that exact screenshot they're using in the update. It was tricky to get it because the flash is so fast and I didnt have a frame-2-frame tool so I had to pause a billion times to get it right. As for the update, good Q and A. sounds cool but a bit of a letdown to me, im all about the multiplayer not the game itself, so basically it wont do anything for the multiplayer but add a few more maps, am i correct? It would be awesome if you could play as the ODST on multiplayer with new maps to spice it up as a new game in itself.

I'm confused on how the expansion is going to work. Once we've "loaded" the H3: recon disk onto our hard drive, can we just use one disk or the other or will be have to switch back and forth for things like campaign and the like? Thanks

You could always change your armor. Not what you meant? Okay. I kind of expect them to update Halo 3 multiplayer at the same time. Just change a few things at the time that Recon comes out, keep it fresh, make it seem a little different.

just wondering, since you guys are saying that recon will have the mythic map and other multiplayer maps. does that mean the other multiplayer maps are exclusive to halo recon? so we will have to swap disc (halo3 to halo recon) just to play the other multiplayer maps?

One could be under the assumption that Halo 3: Recon could lead to Halo 3: Something else and so on, but in the update it specifies that H3R is the last "offshoot" of the Halo campaign... guess we'll just have to wait and see. but first i'm gonna have to change my pants.

w00t! I can't wait. I hope the multiplayer will have some kind of class based gameplay, like medic, engineer, sniper and stuff like that... If not, thats ok! At least it won't be the same kind of multiplayer with ODST as the only difference.

Okey I finally get the map thing know, so both games run using the same map files and map variations, the only thing I would find strange is during infection. I would never expect to see an ODST running faster than a mongoose carrying a gravity hammer... Nor would I expect a Spartan II but thats not the point!
