Do Spartans have no balls?
SOmeone told me that all the male spartans had their balls choped off, is it true?

That post augmentation, S117 had figured that gravity was lessened (since everything seemed so light and easy to move). However, he dropped an object and timed it, to find out that the room was at 1G (or was it higher?). Anyway, at age 12, he was about the size of a 19 year old basketball player with the build of a greco-roman wrestler. At least that is the mental image I got when I read the scene years ago. Big boy, lean, but ripped. He actually paused during the test, after all, these were fellow servicemen and "friendlies" even if they were not acting friendly. He only responded to their aggression when it was apparent that they intended to cause damage to the ONI weapon system that the Spartans are.

As far as we know, they have not had their genitalia removed. I think what that "someone" was referring to is the fact that every Spartan in John's class (and most likely every later class of Spartan-IIs before the Spartan-IIIs) were augmented through bioengineering. One of the things they did was greatly accelerate puberty and growth hormones, but also repress their smexual hormones, thereby removing that part of the "humanity equation". A test that the CO of the ODSTs took a little too seriously and allegedly ordered his men to "retire" the young Spartan.
