Dlc being current gen only wouldn't affect the game aside from maybe vault space
Destiny 2 needs to be built from the ground up for ps4 and Xbox one only for it to make a difference

You are entirely right about dlc not affecting it and that destiny 2 should be built from the ground up for newgen. However, has bungie even released anything about comet, from what i know, its entirely leaked data.

I believe it's part of their contract Nothing official but we know a big expansion is coming
