How is Jolder's Hammer better than Deviant Gravity?

Deviant Gravity has much higher base stability, slightly lower impact, better range than Jolder's Hammer and 4 more bullets in the mag. I don't see how Jolder's Hammer is in any way that much better than the Deviant Gravity I have. The stability with perfect balance on Jolder is great BUT you then only have 26 bullets in the mag as opposed to 30 with Deviant Gravity. If you roll Field scout with Jolder's Hammer - you are going to lose out on stability even with counter balance or Rodeo because the base stability itself is much lower. I have 2 Jolder's Hammer. I've re-rolled one of them to have "Smart Drift Control", "Counter Balance", "Field Scout" and "Crowd Control". I've not yet used it but even with those it does seem better than the Deviant Gravity (as smart drift control reduces the range quite a bit) I doubt I can get better rolls on it to beat out my Deviant Gravity.

  • I only have a 300 jolders but it's a beast with counterbalance and field scout and I find more heavy with it too. It's arc and it's like a mini thunderlord. Gonna be upping it come how

  • Lol at the fact that people need stability for such a slow firing HMG. If you have played fps games before you should know how to control recoil.

    Because you have to luck out on a good deviant gravity. Holder's Hammer can be rerolled to infinity.

  • Idk but when I used Deviant gravity during iron banner, Jolder's Hammer users always beat me. I got Jolder's with field scout and I like it a lot better simply because both have a shut reload speed. 50 in the mag is better than 36 for me, so I've replaced Deviant gravity with Jolder's Hammer. It's

    Who the hell needs stability? Just learn to aim, not everything needs to be a laser beam. Aggressive ballistics is the only way.

      It's because people are so stupid that roll Field Scout instead of Hammer Forged. Jolder's is a long-range machinegun. The slow rate of fire is a liability if someone is at your face. You need stability and range perks, and it will hit at a distance as hard as a sniper. Field Scout is such a wasted perk. You will clear out an enemy wave before the default magazine needs reloading.

    • It's slower rate of fire makes it's low stability a non issue, it's actually really easy to control. You can check the Jolders Hammer I have on my Warlock, it carves through opponents. (Counter balance/Field Scout/Crowd Control)

      • Jolders is like a harder hitting heavy scout rifle basically. I have both of these and I preferred my deviant gravity until I fully leveled my jolders

      • On Jolder's it fires slow enough that stability is no issue, field scout revolutionizes Jolder's clip making it actually usable, Rangefinder makes it a MG scout rifle, and field choke will give just enough impact to hit for 80 a headshot. Plenty of reasons to outclass Deviant

        • Jolder's with aggressive ballistics 3 shot kill with only 1 headshot. So basically always a 3 shot kill. Better range than Deviant so you can use it like a very fast fire scout rifle. It is incredible. Also with crowd control and aggressive ballistics, it is a 3 body shot kill. Add Range finder and the gun is just perfection. Aggressive ballistics, Range finder, crowd control and field scout / perfect balance. Can't get better than that for pvp.

            Arc damage Aggressive Ballistics Counterbalance Field Scout Feeding Frenzy Have vendor version deviant gravity but I just like my hammer better.

              • If you can't control Jolder's Hammers miniscule recoil because of it's very slow fire rate, then I just feel sorry for you

              • Jolders rate of fire pretty much makes its low stability non existent. Use your Jolders and you'll know its way better. Field scout to me is a must have though.

                My Jolder's has cqb ballistics, persistance(insane with field scout), perfect balance, flared magwell, field scout, and feeding frenzy. By far the best machine gun I've ever used in the game. Especially in Iron Banner/Crucible, 15+ killstreaks with it.
