In Phoenix, you can't forget Cinco De Mayo, and if you did, you'd be quickly reminded.

 • Tucson's the same way.

 • Tuscon's probably a little worse (or better, or well you know) considering its proximity to the border compared to Phoenix.

 • It's hit and miss. I feel like there's a larger Mexican population here but that population tends to be less... Traditional(?) Like there's a larger ratio in Phoenix of people that celebrate Cinco de Mayo for its cultural value, rather than an excuse to party, than Tucson does.

 • I can't tell the difference between historical celebration and plain old partying, but I always join in when I can. I don't drink or anything, but it's nice to get everyone into one place. (P.S. I'm white, but I have Mexican friends and neighbors)
