May may claim to be religious, but many probably aren't faithful, seeing as how the
Bible states
No stealing
No murder
No lying
Do not covet
Do not commit adultery

What of the priests that touch little boys? Are they not Christians?
-
Your thinking of catholic priests

catholics are christians.

I have heard all sins are equal as well
-
Edited by Bloom Unknown : 5/5/2015 2:44:01 AMBut doesn't the NT also say all people are sinners and all sins are equal, meaning that they are no more sinners than Christians that aren't incarcerated?
-
Hmm, never thought about the whole "everyone is a sinner" part... But no, not all sins are equal.
-
Edited by Bloom Unknown : 5/5/2015 4:23:36 AMOk because I've heard the expression "cleansed by the blood of Christ" meaning that if you repent and accept Jesus as your savior then the sin you committed before is forgiven no matter what it was you did. If this is the case, it seems all sins are equal.
-
All sins are forgivable, not equal
-
If they are all forgivable and they all will prevent you from getting into heaven, how are they still not equal?

Edited by Clever Username: 5/5/2015 9:43:20 PMSome are more severe. God doesn't equate stealing a stapler from the office with murder He has at least as much common sense as us.

Edited by DemonWarfare: 5/5/2015 9:53:39 PMBut if they are all equally forgivable how are they not equal? How do you know what God thinks? Are you god?
