Why Iron Banner gear?
I kinda get why some are tired of looking like every other guardian with raid gear etc....but why do people want Iron Banner gear? it's fugly. If they accented the wolves more instead of the tree it'd make it more cosmetically appealing. I just don't like the trees I guess.
Edit: Ok so I put the Titan helm on with Sunsetting shader and it makes it totally black like Obsidian mind....not bad.

Look up the regalia vestments on the warlock. You can't really accent the wolves more than that

Umm why iron banner gear, maybe the perks on the gear like say extra heavy ammo, and going to do crota, well you want extra heavy in crota, and yes im aware that xur does sell but not everyone has time to play on the weekend or has the coins

4 RepliesThe trees are a nice touch, how is that ugly? And for the record, the Crotas End gear is the ugliest pieces of shit you can be awarded in the game, Iron Banner gear is a cosmetic upgrade in my opinion, it's so much better.

I bought it for the stats (intellect strength etc) with my current raid gear it's mostly built for intellect/discipline which is great for the gunslinger but for the bladancer I need intellect and strength since I mostly just use bladesancer to go invisible

2 Repliesnot everyone does raids. so its the only way for me to get light level 36 armor. but the best reason is the legenday weapon mods that can be anything. last ib i got a rocket launcher that holds three in the tube and has a chance to have an extra rocket. so during crucible i get four rockets from a heavy ammo drop about half of the time. it also has max ammo so i usually have eight rockets in nightfalls.

The wolves represent team work and survival, the tree represents strength and solidarity. Gold is a bold colour for a BOLD theme. It looks cool, really cool and slick and adds to the iron banner lore/theme. The red blue ships are crucible ships. Birth of History is the iron banner ship which is gold and black.

Meh, At least with the iron banner gear I can actually look like a guardian who is wearing armor as opposed to looking like some hive monstrosity haha The Titan and warlock raid armor, while it has grown on me, is still pretty hideous. Cmon, death singer is a female... So does that mean my warlock is cross dressing, if he's a male?

Part of it is RNG I have horrible luck when it comes to getting helmets. So despite the fact that I hate the way the ib hunter helmet looks I need it to get to lvl32. The rest I have because of there perks. I have gotten gloves and boots from the raid but they never have the stats I need.

I only did it because I wanted to get my titan 32 and was being impatient. I'll never do another IB after this tho. I don't have time to get rank 5 on one character. No reason to participate in exercises of futility.

4 RepliesExactly for the reasons listed. I don't like looking like every asshat who cheesed their way/got carried through the raid. IB gear shows you had patience and enough perseverance to get some wins (with or without a team) in a competitive setting in PvP. But the real reason. Look at how awesome the IB Titan gear looks with the Revenant or Hanged Man shaders on. Check my Titan if you wanna see!

8 RepliesI think the IB hear is the best looking gear in the game so far (legendary wise), but that's merely my opinion. I don't think any other legendary armor set looks as good.

The ships are just the DLC ships, not Iron Banner ships. The Armor is really just a trophy, representing time spent in a specific activity. I'm proud of both my full sets. Really would like to re roll them though

The IB ship IS gold. Birth of hystory. But I donno I like the warlock/titan gear, the hunter stuff is pretty eh though.

Shame my brother prefers thunder devil so it is off half the time.

Red and blue ships are crucible ships. Not only just Iron Banner.
