Where can I get the drugs that you are on? Have you played anything else? There are way better games than this, esp if you have a ps4

If you don't like it why are you complaining let only people that love the game come over on the forum and you go to the forum you like.

Edited by Rocket69Jumper: 5/4/2015 10:32:29 PMI've strayed to DA:I, Borderlands TPS, NBA 2K15, The Last of Us, Far Cry 4, and GTA5 all since I've had Destiny. But Destiny is like the ex I can't say no to. I always come back eventually and I have more hours played on Destiny than probably the others combined (besides for DA:I).

better games based on your opinion? or the opinions of academics? or the opinions of reviewers that sign agreements not to talk about specific features?
-
As much as I love destiny that whole reviewer agreement thing is bs. I love destiny but all the reviews pointed out valid flaws.
-
so y dont these "reviewers" point out the valid flaws in other huge game franchises? The reason being that bungie had an agreement with activision that if the game earned a specific rating, activision would give bungie a certain amount of money. Other franchises have these reviewers sign these agreements that literally say "do not bring these things up in your review or you wont get a review copy". The flaws in destiny might have been valid most of which have been fixed now or will be when HOW comes out, but reviewers are inconsistent basd on the game that is being reviewed. That is y the only way to actually know if a game is good is to watch all sorts of gameplay and then play it for yourself

This seems more like a wild speculation than fact.

Edited by Billymasterz aR: 5/5/2015 10:31:34 PMno it is fact. many independent viewers have exposed certain devs for doing stuff like this. For example, shadow of mordor had one of the most extreme reviewer contracts in recent years. They spelled out things that reviewers couldnt bring up if they wanted a review copy. COD does the same with IGN which is the reason they never get below like an 8. the funny part is that shadow of mordor was an excellent game and wouldve gotten good scores without that kind of contract. but the contract was so insane and got a lot of attentions so eventually the dev, monolith took the contract back and gave out review copies with no exceptions as to what the reviewers could say. As for destiny there was an article and video by IGN or another channel detailing the agreement between bungie and activision and the deal they had for the review scores for the game. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2014/10/08/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-paid-branding-deals-should-have-gamergate-up-in-arms/ this is a link for an article on forbes that details shadow of mordor's specific sign up deal to youtube reviewers.

I don't disagree with the whole bungie Activision thing. I just disagree that it has an influence on the scores reviewers give.
-
of course it does, the devs and publishers do nothing but try to influence scores which is shown by controversies like the one i linked to you
-
It's interesting no doubt. But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Lol
-
im not raising an interesting point really. I am saying that gaming journalism is no longer a credible source for reviews because of things like this happening.
-
I just don't think it's true though. Most editors have integrity. And many have said this simply doesn't happen. I get why people are suspious of reviewers but come on.
-
i mean there is evidence in front of you. despite a ridiculous contract, most people still reviewed shadow of mordor on these terribly bias conditions. This isnt a suspicion just the fact that these contracts exist shows that their credibility is in question because people obviously agree to these agreements. By the way shadow of mordor was a game with very little negatives it was a game that didnt need this agreement and yet the publisher forced it on the dev team. youtuber who does have integrity, yes one youtuber, exposed this game's dev for using a ridiculous contract. Angry joe also has had many of his video reviews and first impression videos flagged after being given access to the logos and game footage by the dev for pointing out negatives about the game. He has multiple videos detailing a publisher or dev that gave him press access and then revoked it for actually truthfully reviewing the game.
-
Well its clearly real then. I just don't know how wide spread it is. I know Colin Moriarty (former ign editor) has said that he has never done anything like that. Maybe it's more prevalent in the YouTube community. Idk.
-
it most likely is more prevalent to independent reviewers but there is also proof that it exists in big channels and places like ign. For example, they did receive a review copy of mordor which means they did agree to their terms.
