This is a good point. I currently have a somewhat unreliable connection. Often fairly good when I'm connected but I get randomly kicked to orbit a few times a night. What happens during trials?

ToO will be match-made (I believe) based on connection mainly, not skill/character level. So if you have bad connection, others will too, making for a generally laggy game. I think Bungie is trying to emphasize the importance of not being that one guy with the lag.

You will probably get a loss added to your card and your team will probably get stomped since they'll be down a man. That's why bungie is prioritizing good connections in matchmaking. If the problem is on your end you should probably fix it before getting into a high stakes competitive game mode.

I'll one man those bastarrds!!!!!

The more I think about it the worse it gets. If one guy gets kicked, what if they bring in someone else? Does the kicked guy still get the outcome, does it go to the substitute? If it results in a win with a "substitution" does the kicked guy get the win too? Does he get nothing and the results fall on the sub?

I would bet kicked person gets nothing. This follows how things like weekly heroic and iron banner work now.
-
But then what stops people from pulling the cord and avoiding the loss?

Edited by JediMindFrak: 5/5/2015 3:56:03 PMI believe you get a loss on early exit. Sucks if there is a disconnect. Not sure if they have any way to detect legitimate drop vs intentional.
