so, the whole stand alone expansion, what is the difference bewtween a stand alone expansion and a normal expansion but thank you bungie for the new hew hero and thank you for NOT making it a completley new game becaue i won'[t want to have to get fricken armor all over again.

I'm thinking you guys can't read. I thought it said expansion to campaign somewhere in the video. For the people who are confused, its an epansion to the campaign. Although they keep saying "Meet our next [b]game[/b]" could be a clue thats its not an expansion.

My assumption from al of this is that H3: Recon will be an entirely new game. Possibly something along the lines of some of the Tom Clancy games set in the Halo universe. The reaon for calling it Halo 3: Recon though could be that they want to specify that the game will take place during the events of Halo 3. Not before (like Halo Wars), or after. It is just a different perspective of Earth's struggle during the Covenant invasion. In summation, it will be a whole new game, while all the Mythic achievables will be part of a Halo 3 map pack. Two seperate entities, one awesome franchise.

This looks great. The funny thing is that a couple of months ago, I made two threads about a new game something like Star Wars Republic Commando/Rainbow 6: Vegas. It would be about Halo though. It would be with a small battilion of ODSTs and you would fight brutes at different locations such as a sandy planet, rainforest, city, etc. Well guess what? We have that game now. The one other thing I would like to mention was this: OMG SMGCOMMANDO!!! SMG with Silencer/Scope=Epic Win. Also, this means new multiplayer, new maps, new guns, new player models. Tee-hee.

Give the game time to flesh out and soon enough with some patience you'll get more of the info we'd like as well as getting closer to the games release. In fact in one of the com entries it refers to the one guy as a "S1 type" so you never know...
