Why do you people talk about "rolls" so much?
Like i am so sick of it the forum is so cluttered with people asking how there "rolls" are. I find this so annoying Timurs Lash is a garbage gun that gets blown out of the water by the Fatebringer and Word of Crota on pve especially since they both do elemental damage. For PvP the Thorn and Last Word blow it out of the water no matter how good your "roll" is. My point of this post is why do "rolls" matter so much to people?
Edit: When you can do this at the gunsmith this is all the forums will be "Guys how is my "roll" for my blah blah?"

Yes, Thorn and TLW are better for PvP. But what happens when you have an exotic special or heavy... oh yeah. There's Timur's Lash.

Because you can change it to fit your playstyle exactly... yeah fatebringer is amazing but for the guy who doesn't get a lot of crits he might want to change it up. Why do you have to whine about what people talk about on the forums? You don't have to open those threads...

That's what the forums are for. The community gets together to give advice and discuss what items and gear is best. It would be nice if the forums were only used for this reason. Instead it is used for people to get on and cry about just about anything you can think of (ex. People who come to the forums to ask advice on what they should be looking for in a gun). I would much rather read a post about what the best rolls on a gun are, rather than read another post about somebody complaining about something. It also gets very boring using the same guns over and over. Timurs lash with outlaw, field scout and crowd control is very nice. Also there aren't a lot of great void snipers for pve, so knowing to get a void spear with performance bonus(so you don't run out of ammo) field scout and firefly is nice.

So how I are my Lash, Spear, and Hammer? All on my Titan. I was aiming for Outlaw on the Lash but was running low on Motes and figured what I had was decent enough.
