Hand Cannons are completely op
Their range is insane. The only thing that kills me in Crucible seems like Thorn. Everyone seems to use Thorns, I hate it, it's not fun. Nerf them please. Buff auto rifles a bit.

Hand cannons are fair. Their high recoil and relatively low range (and if you're not using tlw, their low rof) make them pretty difficult to use in the cruicible. But if you learn to place your shots and not hold down the trigger you can get kills. If anything i think getting quickly two shotted by hawkmoon is worse. But it's not because they placed their shots right. Can't hate skill. Just start using it in missions until get used to it and I'm sure you'll rethink your opinion of hand cannons.

Hand cannons are mostly balanced. Thorn takes skill to get and anyone who has it has the skill to use it effectively. Stop asking for weapon nerds because if they are messed with too much, nothing will do damage and the dynamic of the game changes. I don't have a thorn and I I feel that it's fine.

Nerf Thorn? Do you even own any Thorn? obtain one first before you make suggestions to nerf other guns; get better in crucible or gtfo we dont need pansies in the crucible. Get a Thorn if you can manage that then make your argument; if you cant then shut up.

Why don't we just buff all other weapons? If you nerf hand cannons then everyone will use scout rifles and then they will seem op Or would you rather use water pistols? Because that's how bad this game is getting with many players wanting nerfs.

And 2 months later we will have this same discussion, except we will all want an auto rifle nerf and a hand cannon buff. The process will repeat itself. So just deal with it , they are called hand "cannons" for a reason.

1 ReplyLets just hope they don't completely ruin another gun class like the demise of the auto rifles. The most complaints are directed at the Thorn. Hopefully Bungie learns from their mistake and focuses on balancing the Thorn rather than ruining hand cannons in general

8 RepliesA two to three shot kill is not OP. Just because you get wrecked with something doesn't mean we all the sudden change the definition. OP is insta melt, one shot kill every time no matter what you do to counter it. If the range is too much for you then adjust your tactics. Treat them as you would a sniper, or any defensive styled ranged player. A nerf does nothing but kill the weapons in every other instance other then pvp. It's not the weapons it's your attitude.
