Why is it that every time something is misspelled there has to be a plethora of twats trying to correct his/her spelling.
The same goes for grammar.
Do they have some kind of mental block that prevents them from understanding a meaningful post because OP said "there" instead of "their? "
Or are they just insecure about their own lives and just stupid?
Edit: this also extends to slang
Dis instead of this, wanna instead of want to, gonna etc. These are common slang terms but people seem to view you as less than because of it
Why?
Edit: many replies this has
Thank you I am.
Edit: Police police police police police.
That sentence makes sense lol

People only do this when their completly stumped and do not have a valid argument to a reply or thread. It's called deflection. When they cannot join and intellectual argument they avert attention back to something small that no one cares about. Trying to make themselves look and or feel smart.

I'm good with slang, but I'm an actual english teacher. I feel it is my responsibility to help the people of bungie.net be more proficient with their spelling.

2 RepliesEdited by vVvKrewel: 5/5/2015 3:26:09 PMAuto correct is half the problem. The phone I have goes stupid once in a while it capitalizes the first letter of every word, then I have to hit the check mark so that it shows the word spelled correctly without the capital letter for each word typed. Or, it changes, "there" to "their" it gets bothersome trying to deal with it at times, and correct auto correct correctly. Oh and don't even start on the "to" , "too" corrections sigh..
-
Because if we do not correct them then they will continue being wrong.

When I correct you, it's for your benefit, not mine.

I think it's cause everyone is getting really stupid these days. Even when we have these auto corrects and access to proper spelling at the tip of our fingers. It would be nice if more people aspired to come across as intelligent. But then again, if it's not totally mangled English and I understand it I ain't gonna be that person who corrects other people.

1 ReplyBecause I hate seeing gjallahorn it's freaking gjallarhorn.

Because if you can't make an argument without writing at a second grade level then whatever you were going to say is probably stupid anyways, if you want people to take what you have to say seriously then you need to say it in an intelligent manner.
-
When they are out of arguments, they use grammar.

If I have to explain to you why proper grammar is important, then the terrorist have already won.

2 RepliesActually, no, "Police police police police police" is not a real sentence. What is a real sentence is, "Police police police police police police police."

8 RepliesThe only thing I will correct people on is their commas. If someone doesn't use the Oxford comma I either get worried, scared, or confused. This is why I get worried, scared, and confused. http://i.imgur.com/ZxU8R6Z.jpg
