Curious how others feel about this.
Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone else feels my frustration on this or if I am alone. Anyway, I think I am done with destiny now, and will not be getting house of wolves. This is because I cannot really play crucible anymore because of bungie's changes to the weapons and ammo. I have been with destiny a long time. I have beaten all the raids including hard crota, and I even soloed normal crota with my 32 titan. All three of my classes are 32.
Currently, the top weapons used are handcannons, namely thorn and hawkmoon, this is not surprising given that their damage output is extremely high. Problem with that is that I have trouble using that class of weapon. The two weapons I knew how to use well were auto rifles and rapid fire sniper rifles. Those were my strongpoints because I like the stability of the rifles, and the rapid fire snipers helped make up for the fact that I am not a very good shot, especially while under fire. But I cannot snipe like I used to now because of the greatly reduced special ammo. Auto rifles have been so badly nerfed you hardly see them anymore, even the mighty suros has become an uncommon sight.
I have tried to use hand cannons, but I have a really hard time keeping them on target because of the recoil, and my thorn has no upgrades anyway. The fact that they require precision shooting does not help me either, as I said, I am not a very good shot. the handcannons I have cannot compete with thorn and hawkmoon. I have the last word, but because its range is so short I have difficulty using it properly. I tried to use my swordbreaker, but that was an even worse idea because everyone else is using a shotgun called Felwinters Lie, which has an extreme range for a shotgun. Plus the thorn/hawkmoon people typically kill me before I can close the distance anyway. I also tried pulse rifles, but my dps was still too low to compete with enemy handcannons.
So I think I am done, my k/d is pathetic, and the rest of my team has been forced to carry me. I bring down whatever team I am placed on in crucible matches. As far as I can tell, Bungie has no interest in balancing the weapons. The only change they have mentioned is fixing a spawn error on the iron banner, otherwise, they seem content with their system. Those of you who enjoy these handcannon duels, more power to you, but I feel that there is nothing left for me in destiny, and I don't like bringing down my team in crucible.
With all of that said, how does everyone else feel?

4 RepliesI can't say the crucible is balanced, but i can say it will never be. I do not agree your statement of HCs are not balanced because of one gun. You cannot see many to complain about Hawkmoon, but only Thorn. I do not support nerfing in general. You mentioned that you are good at using ARs and fasr RoF Snipers. I do also use Praedyth's Revenge, and with field scout it starts wi the 12 rounds which is more than enough to start a game. If even that is not enough, you need to keep a better eye on special ammo spawns. And even that isn't enough, you are just a bad shot and cannot blame the game for it. I have seen plenty of guys use Hard Light and wreck people in crucible. It is still not impossible. Just one more addition as it is something i really hate about the last nerf to HC. reducing the accuracy of follow up shots had changed some HC users play style as landing 2 headshots harder now. Don't get me wrong, it is still possible. However, had change the play style to adjust unnecessarily. You might be done with Destiny, but posting to say that amd start poll about a game you say that you already done with is just seeking attention and support from community so you don't feel like you are that bad.
