I use it 2 handed most of the time, and use the 2h R2 lunge attack to counter attack. I have a Shotel in my second weapon slot to bypass shields and sometimes use it to get the killing blow in PvP. I use the Llewellyn Shield for fashion souls mainly, but it's also a pretty good shield The great thing about the build is that it can be used with a huge range of weapons. Recently I've been trying out the Winged Spear (switched out the Chloranthy Ring for the Old Leo Ring), and a 2h R2 combo does over 1k damage in PvP. The damage boost from Flynn's Ring and the Ring of Blades makes almost any weapon viable, the only down side is you can't use heavy armour. My PvP character was originally a Fenito cosplay based around the Crypt Blacksword. Level 150 Stats: (will fill in later when back from traveling) Rings: Agape Ring, Ring of Life +2, Third Dragon Ring, Royal Soldiers Ring +2 Armor: Grave Warden Agdayne's Armor (cosplay reasons) Equipment: I've tested 3 weapons fully upgraded and [u]infused with Dark[/u] so far in my experiment. Crypt Blacksword +10 ~ AR: 780 Greatsword +10 ~ AR: 680 Giant Warrior Club +10 ~ AR: 820 Spells: Dark Weapon (50+ AR + 1.3x element dark damage) The Greatsword and Crypt Blacksword can off-hand a shield where as the Club requires to be two-handed and no shield. So the Blacksword was my original go-to for this character for cosplay reasons and because not many people use it; hence giving it's versatile attacks a bonus surprise factor. What I've found is that it's stamina consumption is too high to be worth choosing for serious competition. The Greatsword alone can stunlock people and take most their health in two swings. I switch back and forth for fun. The Club is a beast. 1-2 swings and people are crushed. Has a basic move-set and can get 3-4 swings before stamina is fully consumed. Weakness: This build is a lot tougher than your average dex montage. Off the bat you are requiring 1/3 of your points to be put into faith and intelligence. The original reason for this was to build off of the Crypt Blacksword's S-scaling in Dark. Also it doesn't hurt to have some extra hex's handy if you wanna throw on a Southern Ritual Band ring. Mostly this build will lose to those try-hard BoB dex/faith etc. builds. But I've always preferred crushing my enemy with a 10-foot hammer than poisoning my opponent with a spotted whip and dagger. Malformed shell (str build), no secondary. Barehanded parries/two handed parries. This thing has an amazing moveset and can punish rolls, murder gankers, and has some epic animation cancels. No one expects to be barehanded parried either.

I usually play str/dex til I can ascetic Freja and get the moonlight greatsword. Then I use a soul vessel and give myself average str and dex and get int up to about 50 and infuse the sword with magic. It's probably my favorite sword in the game lol.
