Iron Banner 32's vs Crota's End 32's
If you had Light 32 PvE only Raiders play against Light 32 from Iron Banner who would win in a 6v6 match? Obviously the IB 32's. Being skilled in PvP just makes you better at the game overall.
This post isn't against the PvE only players. Just the ones who act like Crota's Raid gear requires more skill than Iron Banner gear.
Edit 1: Be sure to read the paragraph above. This post is only a response against the people who I see post on the forums that call IB 32's fake 32's.
Oh yea and..... VoG is the ONLY raid worthy of calling yourself a Raider. A full set of VoG armor is the only Raid armor that is impressive to have. VoG-MasterRace

It really depends on the situation and the game that we are playing...6v6 crucible world probably net the IB guys more wins but a 6v6 raid world net faster clear times by the raid guys. Generalizing that Raid guys are horrible pvp players isn't always true just like pvp players aren't horrible pve players. I choose not to play crucible bc it's not what I enjoy but have a positive k/d in control and have a better than positive k/d when I choose to play IB but prefer pve content. I stand in the middle on this subject. It takes no more skill to grind IB than it does to do raids for gear. I do think if RNG is unkind to you it can take longer to get raid gear versus IB gear but doesn't take any more skill

Edited by Dark_Assassin022: 5/3/2015 1:30:15 PMIt just depends on preference, I know people that prefer raiding and I know those who prefer crucible, ideally both require a lot of time to get full 32 gear, especially as iron banner only allows 2 armor pieces at a time, if anything IB takes longer because its a timed event but both equally take the same amount of effort, especially if you get unlucky with raid drops, so really I applaud any who have full 32 gear without an exotic because they obviously worked to get it :)

In all brutal honesty, anyone who says that it takes more skill to get the Raid gear can just shut up. To get the IB gear, you have to rank up close or to max to get the stuff, THEN you need the glimmer to get them all, AND you need to do it within the week. Raids are up all the time, and people can easily get a team of six going. Yes, you might have to do the Raids several times to get the stuff, but at least it's there to stay.

I mostly despise PvP in Destiny. Rarely play it, mostly just IB and not even all of those. And...I'm pretty good at it. Far better than average and sometimes I'm first place on my team. I don't think IB or normal Crucible veterans who despise PvE could just jump in a raid and wreck...just food for thought.

Really the only difference I see is that IB is a guaranteed grind for set loot, where CE could get you a full set in two runs or twenty depending on how strongly your offerings are favored by RNGesus.

PvP requires skill? All need is a thorn,TLW, and jump blink melee shotgun.. Granted killing crota on hard isn't a small task..

I'm mainly PvE and I got rank 5 IB pretty easy...it's not hard. Neither is gettin raid gear.

Ok picture this. PvE v PvP in IB = PvE players will do ok but probably not that great. Put PvP players in Crota and they will never complete it the first stage. They will get massacred. So over all I think PvE players who also play PvP are the best. Whilst PvP only players are lacking in experience over all.

I'm about to have a full set of Iron Banner gear (like 2100 and change rep to go on my hunter). I thoroughly suck at PvP. It's just that by the time I get 3-4 medallions the game takes pity on me and puts me on team awesome and I get carried and cash in. Iron Banner gear doesn't mean you're good at PvP. Like so many things in this game it just means you're willing to grind.

in PvP ib 32's would win, depends on whos going at it, anyway, if you go into PvE and did the Crota raid, I reckon the raid gear 32's would do it quicker and with less deaths Its different types of game play I guess, and I've got absolutely nothing against PvP players, however a comparison of PvE and PvP players is not really possible because they're two separate areas of the game that require different skills, playstyle, and weapons!
