please explained your rational in comments below
So this topic of removing PVP from destiny has come up several times and would like to see a vote for who wants to keep it.
The rational behind taking out PVP is that the random loot system, and exotic system clash with the PVP balancing. If you were to have real op weapons in a game and bring them into PVP then people would soon discover that it's is impossible to play. The PVP in the destiny is holding back potentially amazing guns we guardians could get. Now the will always be the urge for us to compete against each other, so how do we do this? Well, things like the wild from Runescape have been suggested as well as having something similar to what we had in Halo games were there were just random gun laying around. The point is there are options. So make your vote, if you pick to keep the PVP we currently have explain why you feel that way. If you choose the get rid of it then say what alternative you think would be the best.
In light of my bad word choice I would like to say that by removing PVP I mean changing it or replacing it with another PVP kind of thing mentioned above. ( I would change the poll but it doesn't let me :p )

Remove pvp ?!?! Get the -blam!- out of here ITS A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. /THREAD

1 ReplyYou should have the option "redesign the PvP system."

Just make the shit run on dedicated servers, take heavy weapons out of rumble, and give us a hardcore playlist with no supers, radar, or heavy ammo. Let's see how many people can play titan without fist of panic or the panic bubble. Same for warlocks if they can't revive themselves and fling 20 fusion grenades.

The Crucible is unique in how it works. They need to stick with it and keep improving.

I think the best thing to do is go with the halo option. Even though I love runescape I don't see how that could actually work in an fps

1 ReplyYou should have known before you made this poll that Activision would remove PvE from Destiny 2 before they remove PvP.
-
1 ReplyThat awkward moment when your poll backfires /:

1 ReplyYou keep saying in everyones feedback that you are not saying remove pvp to do whatever else. Yet your poll says remove pvp from d2. Pvp = pvp in all shapes sizes and colors. Sooooo, yea.
-
Can the just remove destiny 2? Scrap the idea and give the funding to 343 or whatever sequence of numbers now owns halo.
-
Keep PvP cause pve gets boring
-
-
Um, i would say keep pvp, but stop the stupid nerfing.
-
It's "rationale".

1 ReplyKeep PvP... Just separate PvE and PvP when balancing weapons... Too easy
-
You're poll is unfair. People are forced to vote "Get rid of it" or "Keep what we have right now!" That's odd, considering that you mention in your post that it's possible to make some changes/adjustments to PvP. Why did you neglect to add a "Keep PvP, but change it" option? That's...pretty biased man. Anyway, I'm for keeping PvP, despite being mainly a PvE player. Didn't vote though, since none of the options fit that.

Will never happen, especially if they invest in dedicated servers.

If this is your problem with PvP then just make separate stats for PVP and PvE. It's really that simple. I for one, enjoy the crucible and wouldn't be still playing had it not been for the crucible. Because the fact of the matter is, PvE gets very old and stale very quickly. Let's face it, Destiny doesn't have much of a story. And there's only 4 things to do. Strikes, nightfalls, weeklies and raids. Which only really makes two things because nightfalls and weeklies are strikes. How long would Destiny last? About as long as Watch Dogs lasted. When you don't have a good PvE, it's good to have a PvP wether it's balanced or not. Look at call of duty. They've survived this long on PvP alone. Same with battlefield. Destiny's PvP has potential. A lot of potential. I can see it being very competitive and fun within the next year. Just give it a chance, I know it's frustrating for PvE players that their guns keep getting nerf'd but that's Bungie's fault. They should separate stats. Please, keep the crucible in the game. It's the only reason I play anymore.

No, the mix of pve and PvP s what makes destiny unique. No PvP = borderlands with less to do and separating PvP and pve makes it just another cod, but in space. The mix of the two is one of the things I like about destiny

9 RepliesMake it a separate game, put it on a separate disc and for digital versions make it a separate download.
-
Why would you want to remove pvp....just make it better lol.
-
The game isn't broken because of PvP it's broken because activition butchered it.
-
Change your poll
-
Keep it just make it better
-
They could probably not allow perks in pvp, but that'd probably ruin certain guns... Perks are the real issue tbh. Without them, guns are fairly balanced against each other.

3 RepliesFor the last time.... PvP has almost zero impact on PvE. People may think it does, but Bungie would nerf / balance / buff things in PvE even if Crucible never existed. If there are imbalances or issues that cause large portions of content to be trivialized or unused, they will react. Period. PvP is just a normalized level of PvE.
