Hive Majors in Cosmodrome If no one comes in to ruin the spawn, you can jump up and hit the ceiling and continue to spawn them. Roughly 115 glimmer every 5 seconds or so. This is fast and a lot easier. Randoms ruining spawns are the bigger problem here.

Gatekeeper on VOG is MUCH quicker and MUCH more rewarding. If you can get 3-5 hunters with gold gun you can get 15,000+ glimmer in under 10 minutes with blue polyphages. Run out of the door, head left, take turns popping gold guns, 1 shot all the majors. You should have more than enough orbs for everyone to have instant supers. Rinse repeat.

Pretty sure gatekeeper is much more efficient imo. I get a lot more artifacts doing this than exclusion zone, to.

I just equip consumables when I do bounties, nightfall, and weekly heroic. Glimmer farming is for noobs.

I just do exclusion zone but I use all the red bar enemies for target practice..no big hurry..

He ehm since this week is omnigul with rainbow burns during nightfall it's amazing! Have 2 friends with you and run through it in 15 mins! 12 k glimmer minimum per run! Takes 15 mins with all burns lots of fun too! I suggest you do it!

Here's how I do it with my hunter. Round 1 without super Pop heavy synth Run past all red bars Stand below the back of the ship Shoot 1 gally at each cluster Grenade at feet, wait for drop ship to finish me off Round 2 super is always ready for round 2 Avoid red bars again Stand in line where one row of majors will land Activate blade dance super just before they land Send waves of energy along the ground (2 will kill them all). Turn to the other cluster and throw more waves. Hand cannon clean up any survivors (usually 1 or 2). Note: second round is always slightly longer and fiddly. I use the perks that allow you to run faster and restore super super energy with each kill for maximum super length. I never use more than that initial heavy ammo synth since at least one heavy ammo seems to drop every two rounds.

Ahhh... Sorry but gatekeeper is quicker I've found.... I had 5 others with me just farm the gatekeeper checkpoint and we got to the point where we were getting in shooting every thing and wiping in 15 seconds tops... That 592 glimmer every 27 second if u include loading time and wipe timer

Gatekeeper hard is faster you run a specific route with obsidian mind supers and shotguns, 20 seconds total including spawn in times 16 majors

Omnigul strike with consumables gets you more

me and my friend run double titan on extraction point. It seems to give more glimmer than gatekeeper when done right. Double first of panic as each side of mobs drop, collect each others orbs, blow feet off. We clear 8k every 10 mins. Gatekeeper is close to that but can take a little longer IMO.

yep, warlock seems best for this and you really cap out glimmer quickly. You also get lots of heavy drops to use rockets to kill yourself quickly.

While I agree with the OP, I'd also add that this process is also one of the best ways to get better at fighting, strategy and effectiveness as a fireteam member on a strike: Instead of racing through it to raise the most glimmer, understand where your guardian is weakest or needs the most improvement and work on those during each cycle, or test build combos and effectiveness. Examples: Titans can perfect FOH (timing and placement of the jump). Some cycles, I alternate between FOH and Rocket launchers to get better at both (sometimes you need to disable a hard target, and sometimes you need maximum blast radius) . I just received a Blackhammer, so depending on how many are standing at the end of the explosion, I have it loaded and immediately switch to it to get better at target acquisition and accuracy, all this while being shot at by the troopship's cannon, red bars (some with launchers and burns), Practice taking them out quickly, or just sniping on the run. Helps with captains and archon.. When it's time to start over, I make it a goal to choose one cabal and K (it)TFO it while working on my shoulder strike and kick. Warlocks can work on Nova bombing aiming, cone size, and accuracy. Maybe a fellow guardian is near a cabal you want to take out, or you want to clear a path for him. As a sunsinger, practicing on the aiming a weapon while hovering in place perk. Good tip below on Hunter and tripmines. I hadn't been able to figure out a way to use him as effectively when farming here. Take a buddy, each of you use a secondary with a different elemental. Practice one with the right element knocking off the shield, and the other can finish him off. I have been leveling up so many weapons and armor recently that I am always short of glimmer. So I have this as an almost daily process. Plus, it's a good warm up for missions and strikes. Added bonus is to make sure you pick up all the network keys. Rahool can cough up another 2k when you return to the tower. Check the timer on your consumable every now and then to make sure you're getting the most out of each run.
