Professional looking email from bungie. fake?

Just wanted to inform bungie of an email I just received that looks professional and official but I don't think it is. It came from no-reply@bungie.net. If it is fake I'm guessing it will fool a lot of people. Check out the screenshot. I have kept it incase I can provide more help. Thanks

Was just about to say... I clicked on it as the URL on the link looked legitimate and I also saw a Service Message on Bungie's main Help page along the lines of: "We are in the process of sending validation emails to users who agreed to participate in our opt-in informational program in Destiny. Please take a moment to follow the instructions provided in the email." Sending myself another verification email, just in case. So far, it looks legit.

You can manually send those emails to your contact address if you choose or if you recently switched your contact email address. Those are used to verify the authentication method you use to sign into Bungie.net. Delete the email, go to Profile, Settings, Email and Notifications and you can send another to yourself to verify your account correctly. That way you know it's sent from you triggering it. The no-reply@bungie.net is a verified email address from Bungie. Used for automated tasks like verifying your account or when you purchase something in the online store. Thanks for making the thread, even just to double check.

    • I got one too...mine said I had a reward as a thank you for my download... But I didn't download anything. I'm fairly certain it's from Bungie, but I want an explanation as to what this "download" is/was. (Trying to be safe and vigilant.) Tess had 500 glimmer sent to postmaster? I dont get it...

    • Its genuine if it came from the address you state, double check that's the actual sent address and not a pseudonym

    • I would say that fake. Did you do anything that would justify such a mail like donating? I mean I never donated but this might be a reason for the mail. Nevertheless I think that it is fake.
