What's the best gun for oracles?
I use my VOC, don't have a vex yet. But I've seen people just melt oracles in seconds but I didn't have the time to check what guns they're using.
I've heard hardlight does well, SGA, what is the best? I'm speaking mostly for atheon oracles
Edit: so I'm hearing a lot of SGA and foil, or corrective measure. Will these take them out super fast? The guys I played with were destroying the oracles in what seems 2 seconds, my VOC couldn't keep up with them
I've been using VOC, black hammer and ghorn (in case everyone wants to rocket atheon) I can take out oracles just fine, but I was really surprised how much faster they took out oracles than me while using VoC

21 RepliesTop five guns (yes in this order) and why: [b]1) Praetorian Foil [/b] - With the Oracle Disruptor perk active, it can effectively one shot the oracles from ground level, even on hard mode. GG. [b]2) Super Good Advice[/b] - Ever used the Bad Juju on a shítload of Thralls? You get the idea. No reloading, never have to let off the trigger. Shreds. [b]3) Corrective Measure[/b] - This baby shreds Oracles, the only thing keeping it from being higher on the list is ammo. It has field scout by default, but if the team has to wipe a few times and you don't get any heavy drops, you're in a sticky situation. [b]4) Vision of Confluence[/b] - You probably get the idea of the Oracle Disruptor guns by this point. Coupled with the full auto perk, the glowing lights from hell won't last long. [b]5) Atheon's Epilogue[/b] - If oracles had health that regenerated like Crota's shields, this gun would be our salvation. Luckily, they don't, but the high DPS coupled with quick reloads make it a good choice. [b]Honorable Mention:[/b] Fatebringer - a lot of players have dismantled a good amount of their 300 attack weapons, VoG drops included, so people may find themselves missing a lot of these guns. However, I don't know a single soul that has dismantled their Fatebringer. Slower fire rate is the only reason it didn't make the list, but if it's all you got, it'll work just fine. Super Good Advice. No one else even needs to deal with the oracles freeing them up to take out the enemies. I'll clear them without having to reload. My fireteam wants me teleported everytime Aetheon opens the timestream. I keep most of my ammo because the oracles don't register as enemies, neither does the oversoul (though a good fireteam shouldn't have to deal with the oversoul). Nothing else compares.

2 RepliesThe best gun is Super Good Advice. Straight jacks them up and you never run out of ammo. If you need to use a different exotic, then Praetorian Foil can still one shot them on hard if you jump up to the oracles in close proximity. Corrective Measure would be third followed by the Golden Gun, and then Vision of Confluence. If you don't have one of these, then -blam!-ing go get one. Corrective Measure drops everywhere, and Super Good Advice is the easiest exotic bounty you could ever see.

The timepiece is the best primary for them as it shoots 4 bullet burst because it counts as a miss effectively making do 25% more DPS on oracles. Haven't seen anybody mention this, fatebringer is your worst bet by far.

1 Replyif the team is doing well with everything else , and the issue is just oracles ,try the super good advice .. no worries running out of shots as it wont register , better yet ,it just wipes them out so fast with no loss of shoots but a few , actually fun and they will be asking dam who is killing them oracles its a good feeling ;)

I still use the Epilogue, rarely have a problem. The Thunderlord literally only takes 2 - 3 bullets. Best setup for me Epilogue Black Hammer Thunderlord - which also melts Atheon

My Atheon setup Fatebringer ( supplicants ) Black hammer ( Atheon ) SGA ( for oracles) The only time this changes is if everyone has gally. Then I'll put on my gally and praetorian foil to melt oracles and burn Atheon in about 18 seconds with 25+ gallys hitting him at once

foil is one shot in hard mode, sga has unlimited ammo with them apparently, and corrective measure is pretty good
