Is destiny worth $100 to you?
$100 isn't much but you don't want to go around throwing hundreds at everything. For me destiny brought me around 1000 hours of enjoyment so far. Normally if I go out for about 3 hours on a weekend I've spent double that. For me it was definitely worth it. Let me know what you think/ how you feel. Love and hate mail are welcome here.

I feel like I've gotten my money's worth. I've spent much less on games I've enjoyed much, much more, but feel like Destiny was worth the money.

$100 is chump change for 1000+ hours of entertainment. Think about it

3 RepliesWell in terms of the [i]rich cinematic experience[/i], no. Not even worth $40. But somehow Bungie has managed to make me play this game a whole a lot more than I thought I'd be. The only, [b]only[/b] reason why I can stand the grinding is because the base shooting and ability mechanics are a lot of fun on their own. IMO that's not good enough to equal $100. If we had a better told story, that had the length and immersion we were all expecting, then sure! I'd drop $100.

Definitely worth the 100$. Don't play it anymore but I'll gladly spend another 100 on destiny 2

Edited by harrymfa: 5/5/2015 2:24:45 PMI don't consider play time as a parameter to determine value, specially when a lot of the play time is encouraged by tedious rep grinding and meager drop rates. If I put value of a game by play time, then Bejeweled and Subway Surfers must be worth $500. There are only a few games I think are worth $100. Skyrim, GTA 5, Red Death Redemption and Battlefield 3. Those games have impeccable production value.

For the playing time it has given me? Absolutely. Batman Arkham City is a far superior game, even right now with it being "old". However, Destiny has given me almost 3x the playing time that Arkham City gave me.

Yes, I would look at it in terms of would I rather play destiny for a long time, put in a lot of hours( almost 500 ) or have two completely different games? I would pick Destiny.

For most considering the time they spend on it, it's good value for entertainment time. Most won't admit it though, It's trendy to hate Destiny on a Destiny dedicated forums...

Well to me it was worth about $800 Bought it on XBone + DLC + Live Bought a Playstation + bought game + DLC + PSN.

Worth that much at least... Might have tons of flaws but it's still really fun.
