Omg final fantasy 8? I'm gonna start flipping tables because that game was terrible. Even as a 14 year old who liked every game ever I could tell that ff 8 was trash. Squall is an emo who has no likable qualities whatsoever. Hey swords are cool, right? Hey guns are cool right? Let's put them together and make a GUNBLADE YEEAAA. "Hi I'm Zell! I love mike Tyson so I got this tattoo!" "Also In this world that has machine guns and flying rocket powered motorcycles I use the most powerful weapon of them all: THESE FISTS O' MINE!" Quistis is every Japanese schoolboys strange perverted fantasy: a sexy teacher with glasses who is a dominatrix with a whip! Yeah! Also, when she has the opportunity to demonstrate actual leadership in galbadia during the sorceress assassination attempt, she almost blows the entire thing because she really felt bad about hurting rinoa's feelings...awwwww. :( woman feelings>military operation. Rinoa's limit breaks include an attack where her dog mounts her wrist weapon and she shoots her dog like a rocket at Mach 5 at an enemy an the dog EXPLODES in a huge explosion. Also out of all the female love interests in final fantasy, she is the absolute rock stupidest, and this is even taking Yuna and Serah into consideration. Ugh. Oh no...we're getting to the worst characters... Selphie...what is with this girl...she is hands down even stupider than even rinoa. Are not the SeeD supposed to be an elite military force? Where was the enrollment screener on that one? They put Selphie in charge of a mission to infiltrate basically a nuclear missile silo, (YIKES) and when you get to the control panel, the only options you can choose from are to press random buttons, and BANG ON IT REAL HARD? Let's just send the nukes off to hit random civilians, yay! Btw you fail that mission no matter what you choose, GO GIRL POWER SELPHIE! Selphie also likes to sing songs about trains heading into the future... Irvine: this guy might as well not exist. Apart from 30 minutes of gameplay he has NO relevance to anything in the game. Laguna: does Laguna have mental problems? Like seriously. There are several times when it really seems like he's having a stroke and he gets a leg cramp and hobbles around. Yet he's sensible and uses a machine gun. Also, somehow THIS IDIOT MANAGES TO BE ELECTED TO THE PRESIDENCY OF THE MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD?!?! That's amazing when did that happen? Oh, off camera? This game sucks... Kiros: man or woman? Not sure. Ward: see irvine, above. Seifer: do you pronounce this name like you would pronounce keifer Sutherland? This guys whole motivation is that he has an enormous hate boner for squall. I honestly just wish that they would just start making out. He makes for a better love interest than rinoa any day. The sorceress edea: she's not even the villain. MIND CONTROL: the lazy mans plot device. The sorceress adel: still technically mind control. The sorceress ultimecia: you know what I hate? When the villain turns out to be someone we have NEVER seen before in the entire game. Final fantasy sucks at this in general btw. Sephiroth? Great villain. Kefka? Great villain. Ultimecia? Shoehorned in at the last second. See also Necron, Yu Yevon (ugh omg the worst )and Orphan. And what's the big looming threat that the sorceress is unleashing upon the world? Time compression: what the heck even is this? You're compressing...time... So...how does that make you win? You would cease to exist. EVERYTHING would cease to exist. This is like an episode of doctor who that makes even less sense than usual. You compress time and you're dead! Everyone is dead, or if they aren't then what's the point? How do you win? You can't do anything. If you compress time...how do you move? You would just think "I want to go to the bathroom" and you have already gone to the bathroom since time is compressed. Where are you? Are you everywhere at once? This concept is DUUUMMMBBBB!!!! Anyone out there who reads this, I CHALLENGE YOU to defend final fantasy 8. There is no aspect of this game that is enjoyable or makes any sense. COME AT ME BRO!
