I really like to play in short bursts of a few games at a time (1-3). Id like to be able to just start without looking for a team on an lfg site.
If they are concerned about random teams not being competitive against premade teams, there is a simple solution: match up teams vs other teams and randoms vs randoms. I dont think it matters much though honestly.
Id just like to be able to start playing immediately without going to a lfg site. Premade teams are not necessary for a search and destroy mode. Sure, communicating with your team will make it easier to win but its not required.
Anyone against matchmaking is for one reason only : they want less people to be able to play this mode. Optional matchmaking does not in any way hinder people who dont want to use it. They can just make a fireteam. Therefore anyone voting no is only looking for others to have a worse experience than themselves.

3 RepliesWhile I would love an easy win against randoms with my premade fireteam, I think that an option to solo queue and only get matchmade with others who queued solo would be a good addition that would get a lot more people involved in the trials.

7 RepliesReasons why we shouldn't have matchmaking: 1 - Trials of Osiris is end-game material. Much like the Raids and NF, matchmaking can lead to a big problem, especially if you are grouped with people who won't communicate or do not play a 'role' on your team. 2 - There is exclusive loot in the mix available in Trials. I don't like to have to deal with random players who can cost me these rewards. 3 - Randoms in Crucible leaving mid game doesn't hurt a player in the same way. The only thing on the line is bounty progression and your KDR. Even in Iron Banner a player will still receive a consolation prize. You can take the loss in stride. Not so with Trials. 4 - The nature of the game is going to create a significant difference in gameplay. Coordination is key. You are going to want to know the full loadout of your teammates. You are going to have to put a lot of trust into them, much more than standard games.

OPTIONAL MM in all things, I would gladly support

1 ReplyEdited by Andre: 5/7/2015 12:52:54 PMI see both sides of the argument and lean more towards no MM at all. At the same time I can't fully take a side as optional MM would be good for the antisocial to get a shot and those stuck with PvE only nub friends.

2 RepliesNot buying any more of Bungies shit DLC
-
5 RepliesOPTIONAL its OPTIONAL MM that we want, I/we don't want to juggle devices, its a pain waiting for 3hours on a LFG site this needs adding to everything that has no MM, or even better make Iron Banner friends only since you care more for PVP than PVE gamers
-
I don't disagree if it's optional but people need to stop acting like there's something they can't do because match making is not in the game. It literally takes you touching your phone and poof! Within 5 minutes you're in a raid.
-
3 RepliesBungie is making a seperate elimination game mode. So if you dont want to matchmake elimination, play trials. If you do want to matchmake for elimination, just play the seperate elimination mode.
-
8 RepliesSo you people are really telling me that you don't have at least two people on your friend list that play destiny?!?!?!?
-
Its a competitive game mode u should have to do some preparation before entering No matchmaking plz
-
17 RepliesNo. For the same reasons it won't work for raids, nightfall or PoE.
-
2 Repliesthink about it when a team fight randoms 9 times out of 10 the team wins and trials is elimination so I think it would be harder for the randoms to win
-
3 RepliesIt wouldn't work out. They want it to be difficult, and not chaos like iron banner. You really want stuck with 2 dudes who don't revive?
-
It wouldn't work out.
-
I agree but only if it is optional. Matchmaking in coop for me is just a hinderance, and I don't think it will help that many players either. If it is optional though I can just opt out of it and play like I prefer, while the players who wish for it can attempt it.

2 RepliesGo play elimination for matchmaking. Or find 2 friends and destiny will be a much more rewarding experience all round.

4 RepliesNope it's a really bad idea... How is a random team going to compete against a team of try hards (which is what we'll be seeing) iron banner is the best example.... A team vs a match made team.... They'll end up getting their asses handed to them and one by one will rage quit and then a guy like you will fill in the spot the other guy left so now you're on a team that will most likely quit and leave you by yourself and you'll end up getting mad and rage quit.... And so on... So i support bungie this time... I hate the fact that I get put in a losing team or a match in progress that half way or almost over while losing miserably! I shouldn't be put in a spot and pay the consequences of an idiot that couldn't handle losing from the beginning and knowing it's skill wasn't good enough but still decided to try it out...

I would actually like this ,it would make wins easier with a good team We won't have to face other skilled teams as often
-
4 RepliesI have a question about trials so bungie says leaving a game counts as a loss and disqualifies you what if their shitty ass servers disconnect me
-
-
3 RepliesAmen! I'd love to see some random teams with no communication! It would make it so much easier for me and friends to rack up a 9 win streak

obvious bump
