Edit2: everyone's saying if you can't spell you're dumb, almost every spelling error is either due to mistype or spellcheck

Edit6: hopefully the last edit, this is not about proper English, this is about autocorrect changing things or not wanting to have to go through all the work to wright you're instead of your, especially annoying on phones. People are probably going to comment if you don't want to spell you're then you're lazy, and if that's lazy then sure I'll be lazy, I don't really care, if you can easily tell what I'm saying then I'm fine with it.

Misspellings show that you didn't proof read what you wrote and that therefore, you don't really care about the words that you're trying to communicate. Basically, it shows you are sloppy and unthoughtful. Not stupid, just lazy.

2 RepliesIs it really that difficult to proofread your post before publishing it? That is what I do to catch most of my grammatical and spelling errors. I do this out of courtesy for anyone reading my post.

1 ReplyIf you're an adult, you should be able to use your intelligence to correctly spell words. It's not that hard. Also, there's spell check, so it's not difficult. People I know misspell words on the internet, and then they unintentionally carry it over into important emails. Others won't/shouldn't take you seriously if you can't spell. Hodor.
