What are the requirements for the crux to drop?
I have heard lots if rumors and i don't know what to believe. Do you have to do hard mode before you do normal? do you need eidolon ally? Do you need to be wearing the eris morn class item?

None of the above. Just beat Crota on hard. Everything else is just superstition. Read enough posts and everyone has a different theory, which means none of them are correct. People get it first go; others don't have it after 50 attempts wearing glowhoo and standing on their head or whatever. None of it matters to RNGesus.

Edited by Jeff the Cabal: 4/29/2015 9:37:07 PMAlright, I'm gonna give you a list of requirements that will be a 100% chance of it dropping It has to be on a night where their is a full moon You must have watched the full season of the walking dead There must be a teddy bear glued to you console You must play in the bathroom with your TV/monitor in there, you cannot play anywhere else in your house. You must have Time Warner Cable. You must have your console spray painted any shade of green You must hug a walrus [b][u]exactly[/u][/b] 24 hours [u]before[/u] you did the raid You have to buy Chinese food 48 hours AFTER you did the raid or else the crux will disappear You must be wearing a yellow t-shirt while doing the raid. Once you get to crota, you must switch out the yellow t-shirt for a purple t-shirt You must own 5 EXTRA copies of destiny. Those copies cannot be opened, those copies must still be in their plastic covers. Leave those copies ontop on your console next to the glued teddy bear while playing. You must light at least 4 candles in your room. This will give you the luck from RNGesus.

Edited by PatPharm: 4/29/2015 9:35:59 PMAs of now, the only thing we know for sure is that you must have beaten hard mode at least once to get the Glowhoo shader. As far as I'm aware, the crux did not drop at all the first week hard mode was released and so it was assumed that you must have beaten at least once already before it is allowed to drop. Other than that, I can tell you that anecdotally, I have worn the Glowhoo shader all 4 times crux has dropped for me but it is by no means required. I got 3 crux drops (1 on each character) the second week hard mode was available. Since then, I've only gotten it once more so the drop rate is highly variable and unpredictable.

Crota must be dead. Blood moon is just a formality. Virgin sacrifice is optional (though appreciated).

You need to have 10 husk of the pits and 10 maxed out allies waiting for a crux. You must have exactly 69 Crota completions. Then you must kill phogoth 10 times in an hour. Then accelerate at a rate of one phogoth per hour. After you have killed 20 phogoths in one hour you must do normal crota. You must be the swordbearer and kill Crota in four swords. Then using your no land beyond find a team to carry you through hard Crota and you will receive half of a crux. Repeat these steps again for your other half. Once both halves are collected you must get some gorilla glue and shove it in your Xbox/PS4. Then you go and buy a wii u and play call of duty on it.

I think having glowhoo in your inventory is the only requirement, after that, its luck.

2 RepliesYou gotta play hard mode only. If u play normal than hard it wont drop. Thats all you are required to do shaders guns nothing matters just hard only. And may take many weeks of just hards.
