1 ReplyFootball I would definitely say second after hockey. Considering the amount of plays you need down pat and the physical conditions you have to endure. Ranging in different temperatures and weather being varied. The list goes on. I choose hockey as the hardest because physically it's a nasty sport. And it takes a lot of skill and endurance to prevail.

Changed my mind, road cycling!! To have the endurance and strength to climb mountain ranges such as the piraneese and the alps takes so much skill and to finish a tour with the best sum of times is ridiculously hard.

4 RepliesMost Skill is basketball. To be proficient and competitive you have to have a unique combination of athleticism, hand eye coordination, finesse and skill. Think about the object of the game. To put a 1 foot diameter sphere through a 2 foot diameter circle that's 10 feet in the air, and some people do that from up to 30 ft away! Plus basketball requires you to compete offensively and defensively while most sports have units or positions dedicated to defense. American Football requires the most raw athleticism. They operate in ~10 second bursts at maximum capacity. Football players traditionally have the quickest sprint times, highest vertical and most impressive weight lifting. Rugby or Soccer require the most endurance, hands down. Wrestling is probably the most physically demanding and tiring sport. Source: Me.

Edited by Boomdeyadah: 11/8/2015 7:02:44 AMHockey is the most physically demanding skill intensive sport. Rugby is probably the only other sport that's even close to that level.
