shouldnt they have weapons to defend themselves against nations that want to wipe them out?

Oh wait I'm mistaken, they still have missiles pointed at each other... Just get rid of the bloody things and let's not act like children by spying, fighting over which system is "best", etc and just agree to disagree. Only reason these weapons should even be touched is if it is a life or death situation and the only reason war should happen is for keeping the terrorists away and defence, not for taking over other countries/spreading your ideology, disagreements on something, or to get some extra $$$ since none of those things are worth the lives of people.

Personally I believe that no one should have nukes just because stupid shit like the cold war happens. But Iran is highly unstable and tends to have a high percent of terrorists and that's just not gonna work.

No country that shows these traits should ever posses a wmd... I mean... Look at North Korea...at least China and Russia are telling them to chill tf out when they go nuclear boner crazy But no one will be there to say that to iran who will be at the doorstep of one of the last stable countries in the Middle East... Israel, not to mention are strong allies with the western world...

It's understandable for a nation to have a standing army and military budget to defend itself, that's the reality that we live in, but not a single person on this planet should be trusted with an arsenal that's literally capable of decimating all life on earth if used efficiently. Regardless of how trustworthy a person may be, there's always that, "What if?" And that's a pretty risky "What if?" if I had to say so myself. This especially applies to countries with unstable governments or those that are surrounded by an unstable environment, that just exacerbates the risk.

Nobody should have nuclear weapons. Iran specifically shouldn't just because it's not a stable place. Why should a place that could change from democratic ally to fundamentalist totalitarian enemy in two days have nuclear weapons?
