Proper Fix to Iron Banner Glitch
This was not thought of by me, the original idea came from Xatyrn
Why start iron banner 8 hours late? Just reset the rep at the end of the event, not at the start of the next one.

This is a good idea, but I don't see why the game allows you to start new activities once reset has passed. If you're in a mission, the game should tell you that you will have to sign out and log back into Destiny after the mission has finished. If you're sitting in Orbit, the game should automatically log you out on reset and force you to sign in again. I don't know why they chose to push Iron Banner back if it really was to stop people glitching. They can clearly force sign us out, as the game does this when patches are pushed through.

My solution to this was to not allow anyone to start a new activity after reset until they relogin. In the middle of a roc strike, fine, get a prompt at the end forcing you to go back to log on. In orbit, sorry, you can't go anywhere until you login again.

6 RepliesThis or they could do the most logical thing. I have no idea why they don't just do this if they want to prevent this. Every day at reset, all they have to do is have it kick everybody to the main menu just as they do with updates. If you're in orbit or the tower at the time, it could kick you then. If you're in an activity, it could kick you right after you finish. This would prevent the double bounty glitch if they care about it as well.

10 RepliesOf course you havent learned yet that flipping one awitch flips 300 other random switches for bungie. They cant just copy, cut, and paste. At this point i would rather they give us 8 less hours of ib than work on a switch that takes 3 weeks that they could have been working on real fixes and real things like HoW or Comet content.
